Stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Brattleboro for 4 night stay Jan 2007. Previous tripadvisor reviews very accurate. 24 hour/day availability of computer with Internet for free, for guest use near lobby. Great pool and hot tub. Great breakfast included in large meeting room. USA Today provided for free. Friendly and helpful staff. Can't think of anything I'd change. Make reservation via calling hotel front desk to request AAA rate, other nonadvertised discounts. Many travel websites listed hotel as requiring nonrefundable reservation, which front desk at hotel does not require when make reservation with them directly.

We usually stay at 4 or 5 star hotels but this is the best in town. We have stayed at this property once or twice a year since it opened. We have family in Brattleboro and stay here when we visit. We have stayed at two other properties in town and were not nearly as happy. The family mini suite is a good choice when travelling with children. The staff is always friendly and the hotel is clean. Brattleboro is a great town with a vibrant culture (lots of artists) and good restaurants. Check with locals to get their recommendations; Rachael Ray has stopped here for a meal. There are several great ski resorts nearby (Stratton and Okemo to name two), so this is a great in between location if you want to ski at more than one place. In the spring there are maple tapping farms close by that are fun to visit and there are also events in the fall.

We have just returned from our first visit to the USA. Our trip had a three week itinerary which included a one night stop over somewhere in Vermont. Bratttleboro was the chosen place becuase it sat well on our Rand McNally map book of the USA. we arrived in the evening and easily found the hotel. First impressions were good, the hotel looked modern, clean and airy and the staff were effficient and friendly. The good thing about holiday inns is that you can always be sure of what you are getting as the corporate image/standard is similar the world over in such places. The Brattleboro branch was the\same, i.e clean, well equipped comfortable room.

Unfortunatly Brattleboro seems to have few attractions to tempt the weary traveller and we struggled to find somewhere to eat that evening. No fault of the holiday inn.

The only issue that does need fixing is the breakfast. It had a close resemblance to feeding time at the zoo or a chimps tea party. The breakfast is a help yourself operation with a fairly well stocked breakfast bar. Problem is that the bar is too small, there are too many people trying to get to it and the dining area is too small. Also the plates are paper and the cutlery is plastic. The result was a big free for all with food and diners scattered hither and thither !

We did our best with the breakfast and moved on to the Cape Cod and the sumptuous luxury of Baileys by the Sea-but you can read our other review on that establishment.

We were traveling from Niagara Falls to Bangor, Maine and it was getting late and we needed to find a place to stay. We happened upon this nice little gem from our Traveler's Guide Coupon Book. When we first got there right away the front desk staff was wonderful. They were very helpful in directions and opinions. This is a pretty new hotel and everything still looked very well kept. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I always have tended to like the Holiday Inn Express chain and this one was actually the best one I have every stayed at. It was very quiet and the breakfast was a delight. This would be a great hotel to stay in for ski season, it is close to ski slopes and plenty of restaurants. I would recommend it for any traveler.

I recently had to make an overnight trip to NH for a wedding and picked this hotel based on the reviews on this website. The hotel was as advertised: clean, reasonably priced, and with a friendly staff.

We arrived 2 hours prior to the wedding and the hotel allowed us an early check in (nearly 4 hours early!) to get changed into our formal clothing. It sure beats trying to put on a suit in the backseat of a cramped dodge neon! We attended the wedding and upon our return we found a table in the lobby full of hot apple cider and apple donuts and cinnamon donuts! After settling in, we went down to the pool area and enjoyed the heated pool and hottub (which is open until 11pm which is an hour or two later then average hotels). The pool was clean and maybe a little TOO warm at 88 degrees, and the hottub was at a steady 104 degrees (a little too warm for my liking) but once you were in it was relaxing none the less.

The hotel is set back off a somewhat main street that has alot of different grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations. It is a perfect location with everything located within a short drive, or even a reasonable walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay again if in the area.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Brattleboro in July 2006 for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Our room was spacious, very clean, and very quiet! And I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning. All in all, this is a great hotel and a great vaue. I will stay here again when I return to Brattleboro!

We stayed for two days at this Holiday Inn and we never had any major issues. Our room, which has 2 queen size beds and a pull out sofa is an average sized room compared to any of the 4-5 star hotels. The room (classified as a suite) is clean and well kept, a small fridge, small microwave oven, tiny coffeemaker and kitchen utensils like fork, knives, etc. plus disposable plates and bowls. They assigned us a room that was next to I-91 but never heard any noise from the highway at night. The free continental breakfast consisted of a typical 3 star hotel servings, bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cereals, oatmeal (although they ran out on the 2nd day...my daughter had to switch to muffins, which is fine with her....) plus juices and coffee. It was well stocked and properly maintained by one person. There are alot of great restaurants within 1 mi. radius and a few more at "downtown" Brattleboro which is 2-3 mi further south of Rt. 5. We will come back to stay at the hotel...and perhaps try one fancy Italian restaurant that we heard is awesome, just across the road.
