“Tasty and filling”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

It's a little off the main drag if you're walking the town, but well worth it- you can definitely get parking nearby too. I would recommend you make a reservation if you are going at a prime time- it's pretty small and very popular.
It is a bit pricey- but if you're used to the northeast, you won't get sticker shock. Plus, if you don't have your heart set on adding dessert, the dinner is very filling.
The veg and non veg options are VERY tasty, and so are all the the mild and medium salsas (the "hot" one just basically is like the hot chili oil you get at Thai places and similar). Recommended!

“Absolutely fabulous”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Had dinner at this small restaurant while dropping my daughter off at camp. After being greeted by the owner and assisted with my menu selections I settled on a chicken salbute (deep fried tortilla) and a pork panucho (pan fried tortilla stuffed with beans). Toppings included a crunchy cucumber and cilantro salad and marinated red onions (cebolla curtida). They were served with rice and beans. I was given a selection of mild to VERY hot salsas (I did not try the hottest) which complemented the meal nicely. I also ordered a glass of their Sangria which was delicious. Fabulous food, lovely people, wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

“Mexican/Mayan Comfort Food in Vermont”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Three Stones sounds like a strange name for a Mexican restaurant, even in Vermont. The name describes an ancient Mayan cooking technique -- and we were thrilled with the results. In addition to excellent service, very good drinks, and super food, the outdoor dining area (only used when the Vermont weather is civilized) overlooks a river and an appealing small cityscape. Worth a trip.

“Worth a visit!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

This tiny Mayan restaurant was discovered two years ago by a friend. This was my first visit. If you are expecting run-of-the-mill Mexican fare, this is not the place. You will not be served chips and salsa as soon as you sit down--or at all. Everything is made from scratch and the sauces are complex and wonderful. Although they could use more vegetarian options, the food was creative and excellent. The chocolate dessert made my evening!

“Off the charts”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Outstanding, made from scratch, delicious food. Not your run of the mill.......mediocre mexican with 1/2 of the ingredients not being fresh.

. The food here is made from the heart, is full of soul and authenticy. Worth the effort and trip. Live 40 miles away and have been here 4x. Wed-Sat. Great vibe. Very, very gracious and friendly staff. The tortillas, empanadas and specials with pumpkin are very, very good. All fresh ingredients locally sourced, for the locavores You do a need a reservation and its busy and its the worth the effort.
