Description: Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery combines a large casual restaurant and open air rooftop bier garten, with a small experimental nano-brewery, all located right on the Connecticut River in Vermont. We offer an "inspired pub fare" style menu, with everything from small bites for a few bucks to full entrees. Along with one, always changing unique craft beer of their own they offer dozens of guest craft beers on draft and specialty drinks, all in an amazing waterfront location. The unique round building has been restored into a beautiful fire-lit space with a contemporary and industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining, perched above the river, alongside a steel bridge and nestled between the green mountains make the amazing location a "don't miss" on any visit through Vermont.

“Long Lost Friends”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

We had been driving all day and had planned to go to this restaurant after seeing it online. We were just stopping through on our way to get married at West Mountain Inn in Arlington, Vermont. We went straight to the restaurant before checking into our hotel. It was just a short wait for a table with an incredible view by the water. Our waitress was beyond fantastic! Felt like we had known her our whole lives. We are from Atlanta, Georgia and were completely shocked that a small town would have a restaurant that was foodie worthy. The miso maple glazed salmon was better than the dish I had the night before at Ming Tsai Blue Ginger restaurant in Boston. Robbie's Guinness chocolate cake with Baileys whip cream to die for. Next thing we know our waitress, Christina, brings out Chef Nikki to meet us and somehow we ended up having drinks upstairs with the chef and staff. Needless to say, we checked into our hotel way past our bed time to get a proper beauty rest. Thanks for the great time and fantastic memories Whetstone! Y'all are awesome and showed way more hospitality than the South could ever dream of!

“Good food, good beer and a great view”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

We were on our way home from northern VT and needed a place for lunch. So we found Whetstone. It didn't disappoint. The food was good, excellent selection of gluten free options, the beer selection is great and the view is awesome. We ate on the deck, which is right on the CT river. We checked out the rooftop dining after we ate, which we will be doing next time we go. Overall we had a great time. The waiter was friendly and attentive without being pushy. I would definitely recommend it. I can't wait to go back!

If you're driving through town stop here. It is worth your time. The beer selection is lengthy and always changing.

Had a couple of beers and appetizers at The Whetstone last night. Beer was tasty and service was good. That Cheddar Ale soup is awesome - highly recommend this!
