“Fresh, crunchy, delicious fish!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

We were driving through and needed a place to stop for our toddler. This place was perfect!!!! A clean restaurant run by a nice couple, there was a chalk board, kids books and a high chair!! Fish was fresh and delicious, it had a great crunchy exterior, and the Belgium fries were from real potatoes. Do glad we found this little gem instead of a generic place. Thanks!!!

“Super yummy fried food”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

Little place that only seats 15. Fun colorful art. Reasonable prices and the option to buy giant 19.00, big 12.50, small $9.50 or tiny $5.00 orders of fish and chips. My small order was a perfect size meal of amazingly tasty fried food. There is also the option of falafel, tacos, and wraps. All is made on site including organic tater sauce. My husband loved the fish tacos. Only complain is lack of a liquor license so I couldn't have a beer with my meal.

“Unique addition to Brattleboro restaurant scene!”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

My family dropped in for lunch the other day. This is the best Fried Food in town, hands down. Non-GMO peanut oil used to fry tender, flaky fish and salty, robust French fries, and falafel (that I have not tried yet). Considering the sketchy nature of most fried foods, this should be enough to bring you in to give this place a try.

It’s a one-person shop right now with a limited menu. Fish and Chips – available in a variety of sizes – housemade tartar sauce available for $1 extra. Delicious food, hot to the table, well fried but not greasy. All the ingredients are conscientiously sourced and the owner has a good feel for the limitations that a one-person restaurant has. Hence, this spot may not be open when you drop by, but drop by and try the food when you find it open!

Bonus – great reggae soundtrack, nice front window for watching Brattleboro stroll by, great chalkboard wall for the kiddos to write on!

“Amazing falafel, fish & chips, fish tacos, fries... and more!!!”
Reviewed 13 February 2014

These guys make amazing food. First, everything is made in-house... this means that the falafel, french fries, chowder, fried fish, and everything else is made from scratch. They also make their falafel from dried chick peas instead of canned chick peas (most places seem to use canned chick peas), which makes a huge difference. One other great thing is that they use as many Vermont products as possible... such as using Long Trail beer in their fish's batter.

The atmosphere is great as well. Family-run, mall and intimate, and the owner is usually running the show all on his own (taking orders, cooking, serving). An absolutely must-eat when traveling through or staying in Brattleboro.
