“Great value, location, and rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

My boys and I stayed in two rooms over three days. The value was very good, it would be so especially with a family of four or five, in the three-room suite. The ceilings are very high, being an old building, rooms are decorated nicely-ski chalet meets antique store. The suite we stayed in, the three BR "Pocock Suite" had a full fridge/kitchen-everything you'd need and was about 1,400 sq.ft.. Real comfy, no pet or cigarette smell at all. Lots of DVD's on hand.

Bristol Suites is right in the middle of Main St., with half a dozen places to eat on the same block. Right at the foot of the mountains and fifteen minutes to Middlebury. Maybe twenty minutes to Mad River? We'd definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a multi-bedroom suite.

I love this hotel. It's clean and has charm. The location is the best in the whole town. And you won't find a more accommodating and friendly staff. I stayed in 2 different rooms and both were decorated with care. The suite had an excellent full kitchen with all the appliances and pots/pans you'd ever need. The beds in both rooms were super cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend and can't wait to come back in October!

Room Tip: I loved all the rooms. Pick a suite if you want a full kitchen.

Carol was and continues to be awesome, along with the other people that work there that I met briefly; very accommodating and welcoming. The rooms are near everything in Bristol, and they gave me the feel of being at home while going through an intense training...my return is already booked for October ;)

Look up the word "quaint" in the dictionary. You might see a picture of Bristol Suites! We enjoyed our stay very much. Such a historic old building, but all the comforts of home. Clean and tastefully decorated.

Room Tip: Some rooms require a couple of flights of stairs.

My wife and I were in need of a place to stay in the Bristol area for Memorial Day weekend 2014 after the place we had been staying at the previous 6 years informed us they were closing (so sad...). I stumbled across the website for Bristol Suites and took a chance based on the pictures published on the site.

We were NOT disappointed!! The room was the one bedroom Bartlett Falls Suite. Full bath off the bedroom an a large FULL kitchen/living room. Beautifully furnished and wonderfully appointed. And being in the heart of Bristol and not 6 miles east up the side of a mountain was truly great!! Nothing against being up the side of a mountain, but being on a main road made getting around a lot easier.

Truly worth the stay!! We are booking as soon as we can for Memorial Day weekend 2015.

Room Tip: You can trust the pictures you see on their website.

My grandmother has lived in Bristol for years and I have always stayed in her house. But while coming up for a family reunion, my fiance and I decided to give Bristol Suites a try, and we certainly did not regret it! The staff was helpful and the room (Rockydale Room) was clean, spacious and quaint, while being very easily accessible to everything in town. We could not have asked for more!

I was up for a fly fishing tournament and stayed at the rockydale room and it was immaculate and very inviting, better than expected. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and had all the features needed including a coffee maker, fridge and microwave and WiFi and plenty of nice towels in the bathroom. They also had a great binder that was filled with all sorts of local information and menus from local restaurants. Its right in downtown Bristol which though small has great places to eat. There was a great bakery across the street that had great looking breakfast entrees, and a brewery/restaurant called the Bobcat cafe down the street that was bustling on a Saturday night where I bellied up to the great wooden bar there and had a great red ale.

Room Tip: The rockydale room is great for a single person or couple as it only has one bed, it is in the back...
