Steve and Stacie will take great care of you at this charming B and B. The Bristol Suite was very nice. Take a nice bath or lay on the bed and watch the snow fall. Every morning provided us with a new treat for breakfast. The food was great, and the dining area is full of nice antiques to view. Simply a great value. Steve and Stacie included a dinner at Mary's, champagne, cheese, and chocolate. The dinner was delightful.

Get ready to relax! Be prepared to The town of Bristol is full of character, good food, and good people. Make sure you head over to the Bobcat Cafe for some local brews.

Cheers!

We stayed here on three occasions relating to bringing up or visiting our son at Middlebury College. It is only about 15 minutes from campus and much more affordable than hotels closer to campus. Stacey and Steve are great hosts, very personable. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with very nice furnishings. Stacey prepares great breakfasts (fresh fruit, muffins, quiche, frittata, stuffed French toast etc..). The town of Bristol is very cute and picturesque with a few lovely restaurants (try the Bobcat Cafe for sure) and coffee shops. Nice hikes nearby. Nice touches at the B&B are bottled water to take out for your day, and Lindt truffles as a bedtime treat....

Very warm, welcoming friendly hosts and atmosphere. The room was very comfortable. Get the room with the whirlpool if you can. A nice easy 2 minute stroll to town and a wonderful river to frolic in about 5 minutes by car. If you are there to visit one of the 2 Yoga studios, there is a Yogi's discount!!!

I stayed with the Crystal Palace over the weekend and just enjoyed it!!! I fell in love with the Bristol Suite.. The bed is so comfortable.. This room also had a fireplace and an extremely comfortable chair to sit in while reading a little before heading to bed.. Stacie and Steve are super friendly people and helped out alot when it came to finding activities near by.. I loved the breakfast.. Stacie discussed with us about what she would be serving the morning. We were also informed that breakfast was at 8:30am So we made sure we were there on time.. When we arrived for breakfast both Steve and Stacie were there to great us a good morning.. What I love about there breakfast was it wasnt your typical eggs and bacon meal.. We were first served fresh fruit and then out came the most delicious croissants french toast that were dipped in Cinnamon and were presented with some powdered sugar and pure VT Maple syrup... It was to die for..!!! I would highly recommend this B&B. It was s great experience..

I love Bristol Vermont. A wonderful quiet, safe town. I stayed at the B & B for one night. The owners were very nice. I was the only visitor and was surprised by all the dust, and hairs all over the place. The bathroom sink and faucet were covered with tooth paste splatter. I would also recommend getting some comfortable chairs.

We appreciate the candor of the review. At that time the hostess/owner was diagnosed with an illness that prevented her from taking care of the inn to a level that our guests were accustomed to. As a result of this review we hired professional cleaners to clean the inn. In addition the hostess/owner's health has significantly improved and the B&B is now being maintained so that it is much cleaner then during that time.

My wife and I stayed at the Crystal Palace for a couple of days right after Valentine's Day. It offered the most ( from all of the places we researched ) and for the most part we weren't disappointed. Stacie greeted us at the door, was very friendly and accomodating. She had all sorts of suggestions for dinner and activities. The room was nice and had a very comfortable bed. We didn't see her at all except at breakfast. It is in a great location, and Bristol is a nice little town. There isn't a lot to do though in the winter months unless you ski, which my wife and I do not. That certainly wasn't Stacie's fault, and she recommended things for us to do.
I only had two complaints, both pretty minor. One, the house doesn't look as good as it does on the website, though once inside it is very charming. And two, we were a little disappointed with the breakfast choices. After seeing on the website graham cracker french toast, I was looking forward to that, though we never received that. The first day we got baked eggs, and some of the ingredients are ones I do not like. The second day was Eggs Benedict, and though it was better, I thought more traditional breakfast choices would have been better, and certainly a safer option. The food tasted great though, so the quality was not an issue, and the fresh fruit to start breakfast was fresh and delicious. Overall, the Crystal Palace was a great stay and I would stay here again if I am ever in the area.

My husband and I stayed at Crystal Palace recently and were a little disappointed by the cleanliness. Don't get me wrong, the B&B is beautiful and the innkeepers were friendly, but our room made us feel pretty uncomfortable. The rug in the center of the room did not appear to have been cleaned in quite awhile and there was a heavy amount of dust surrounding the furniture and on the mirrors. I am not a picky person or a clean freak by any means.

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, but pretty cold. Sound was a bit of an issue. The innkeepers must've lived above our room because we could hear them talking at night. We kept our tv on as white noise.
