We stayed 3 nights here in Room 2, Victorian Cabernet. It was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. The public areas were gorgeous too, especially the breakfast room. Many reviewers don't seem to like having to sign up for breakfast but I don't see it as a problem - it staggers arrival times as there wouldn't be enough tables if everyone arrived at once. There were chocolate chip cookies (irresistible) in the room everyday and home made lemonade (and more cookies!) downstairs, as well as tea and coffee. I also liked that there was a bookcase of guidebooks to the area which you could borrow to plan your stay. Finally, the inn was an easy walk from downtown (though uphill on the way back as others have pointed out) and Burlington has some great restaurants to try. We enjoyed walking past the very grand halls of the nearby college on the way. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

What a great surprise we had staying in this superbly restored mansion dating back to the late 1800's. Family owned now and we met most of the family members, including the son who meticulously maintains their beautiful back yard, flower and vegetable gardens. The ornate hard woods and staircases are impressive. The porch with tile-covered floor and spacious windows was a perfect setting for morning coffee and most delicious breakfast. This was one of our favorite B&Bs on our New England road trip. It is conveniently located near Lake Champaign, Church Street Market and the U. of Vermont. The neighborhood is quiet and contains many other restored mansions and large family homes. Room was average size and beautifully appointed with clean, spacious bathroom. We will definitely stay here again if our travels return us to the Green Mountain state.

We stayed at the Willard Street Inn from July 25 until July 28. Our room was Alexandra's Alcove. The room was comfortable and the mattress was great. Our only complaint is that it the shower is a little small and it is a long climb to the third floor. Taking in to consideration the great meals we had in Burlington the exercise was welcomed.

Breakfast could not have been better. Each day there was at least one or two selections we liked. Best of all we got to eat in wonderful surroundings.

Carrie and Caitlin could not have been more helpful. They did it all. Checked us in and out. Gave us the directions we needed. Always with a smile.

Thank you.

The INN is in a nice residential area. You can walk downtown in 15 minutes, but be prepared to go uphill on your way back.
The high ceiling room was clean and very enjoyable. We could not resist the daily chocolate chip cookies left on the room's table.
Breakfast options were great and tasted good.
The bathroom was spacious.
The garden is a good place to relax and enjoy a coffee.

My finance and I stayed in room 8- it was excellent because our room included two corners of the building and was therefore quite large with a lot of windows! It was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The property as a whole is in great shape with antique charm. The inn is within walking distance from the bustling downtown where there is lots to do and see. Cookies are placed in the room after housekeeping comes through and there also some downstairs with the tea, coffee and lemonade. I would recommend this to those looking for a nice quite place in Burlington.
