“Comfortable beds, safe environment, but filthy floors.”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

We stayed here April of 2014 and upon first glance, things were okay: front desk clerk was helpful, even introducing a potential room prior to officially signing; safe parking environment; quiet motel overall. One thing that was important to us was having a 'non-smoking' room, which we were told they were, however when he opened the door, the place smelled horrible of mingling cigarettes. Smoking is allowed on the second floor, and 'probably filtered through down here'. Being it was getting late and other places weren't as reasonable (this motel charges $66 for double occupancy, including tax), we chose to stay.

Positive attributes of the room:
Comfy beds.
Small kitchenette including several cupboards, drawers, a separate stainless-steel sink, microwave and mini fridge.
Toiletries in bathroom (bath bars, shampoo/conditioner packets).
Flat-screen TV.
Working AC/fan.

Negative attributes:
- The floor was filthy. They NEED to install new carpeting. My feet kept sticking to the bathroom tiles (whether they were barefoot or in shoes, it didn't matter). Plus, you're constantly dragging around germs and dirt because the rug you use to travel across from the living area to bath is the same rug you step onto upon entering the room from the outside.
- The bottom of the tub doesn't have any 'grippers' and there aren't any handle-bars, so you literally have to hold on to someone while you shower, or take a bath. It's extremely slippery.
- WIFI was unavailable due to the amount of metal in the old walls. If you need to access it, I found the front desk had the highest strength meter.

Overall, I have decided to rate this motel as "Average" because we felt rested; safe in parking our car out front; and the location was great. At the same time though, the floor was just atrocious. It made us wonder if they clean the bathroom or just do a 'swipe' with a wet cloth.

Room Tip: If you have difficulty with stairs, make sure to get a room on the first floor as otherwise, climbin...

Travelled Sept 2013 as a Motorcycle Road Trip with a friend.

Pros:
-15 Mins Walk to Burlington Downtown (Church Street)
-Quiet Rooms
-Great services at the Front Desk
-Cleanliness was OK for a MOTEL
-Free Parking - Felt Secure to let our Harley Motorcycle out there.

Cons:
-Price was a bit High for that kind of place (88$ Double Occupation)
-Rooms and Reception are Outdated BUT clean.

Bottom Line:
This place should be considerate as a MOTEL. It was clean and silent and we got a great service from the gentleman at the front desk for traveller's inquiries and place to hang out in Burlington. We came there as 2 motorcycle riders and this place make it possible for us to hang out on Church Street without having to ride back while being intoxicated. At a glance, our night in Burlington worth the 88$ spent on this Motel.

We should have asked to see the room. I learned that lesson the hard way with this one. And the huge sign saying "NO REFUNDS" should have been our first clue.

For starters the lobby was even uninviting, man checking us in was anything but friendly.

The room smelled like smoke and beer, TERRIBLE stale smoke and beer, blood/boogers/who-knows-what all over the wall, and a huge spider on the dresser. The door did not lock properly, and we felt so uncomfortable that we left immediately. We literally didn't want to touch ANYTHING in the room, let alone sleep in the bed. Worst hotel I've ever been to, and mind you we were just looking for something cheap so that we could crash within a cab's ride of the bar's. I would rather have slept in my CAR than this hotel!

Needless to say we found a different hotel, for almost twice the price, but I guess you get what you pay for...

Consider yourself warned.

Also - ALWAYS ask to see the room!!!

Cheap option for a night at just 15 minutes walk from Burlington's downtown (church street).

But our room was in bad conditions (hard bed, old furniture and windows, poorly maintained) and smelled cigarettes smoke.

If you go to Burlington to go out, drink and leave in morning, it may be a good place for you. But if you want to have a place to rest and chill, it may not be the right place.

Considering high prices on lodging in Burlington, this place might be considered budget friendly. And it's kind of long-stay friendly (has full kitchens). But I would recommend to avoid it if possible.
Arriving around 8.30pm we were greeted with "I almost left" phrase. There were no options with rooms so we had to take whatever they offered. First floor room, right next to pool (closed). Hotel is far away from everything. Which was not a real problem for us, we just needed a place to stay for 1 night. But there was a problem to find a nice place to eat at night. Luckily we stumbled upon Bite Me Organic Pizza (highly recommend).
Room was in a bad shape I'd say. At least it didn't smell anything and bathroom was acceptable.
But I checked their kitchen stuff briefly and it was really disgusting, and what was happening in lower cabinets under the sink etc I even can't describe (leakage, spiders nets, smell) :) I just told my wife don't open those doors to sleep calm.
