Our family enjoys traveling in our Airstream. Each year we visit another state. This year Vermont was our destination! North Beach Campground is located in the city of Burlington. It is literally behind the local high school. Maybe we are use to camping in more rural areas, but driving our 32 foot trailer through the city of Burlington was a surprise. The campground is convenient to all local activities, which we did enjoy. However, there are only 15 sites with full hookups. The 15 sites are lined up like a parking lot with only about 15 feet between us and the campers next to us. At night when you sit at your small fire ring, the camping neighbors are right next to you. We stayed on site #2, very close to the entrance of the town beach. That makes for lots of foot traffic past our site. I will say, sites 8 -15 seemed better placed a little off the main entrance. The sites without full hookups were also away from the main road. We enjoyed our week stay in Burlington however would not stay at this campground again. If you are looking for a no frills, basic campground North Beach may work for you.

Can't beat the location for sure. Campground itself is nice, although like the other reviews, the sites are on top of each other, except for the full hookup sites which are nice.

Pros: great location, quiet campground, friendly staff
Cons: they clean the bathrooms right in the busy period of the morning when you are trying to get out. I don't understand this. You can't bring your own wood but this is understandable considering they don't want bugs.

I stayed at North Beach Campground for the first time this weekend. I was a little skeptical to stay there after reading a review that said that someone returned to their tent one night only to find a homeless person sleeping in it, but thankfully I didn't have any encounters.
First things first, this campground is really conveniently located. Directly behind the campground are the Burlington bike path and Lake Champlain. The Bike path provides a quick and easy way to get to downtown Burlington. There is public beach access on Lake Champlain within walking distance of the campsites as well. It was very soothing to be able to fall asleep to the sounds of the lake each night.
The campsites here were very much on top of one another. If you're looking for slightly more privacy in a site, don't pick any of the ones with water/electric hookups. I've read in other reviews that the bathrooms aren't clean - I honestly think they are just old and outdated, as I went into one immediately after it was cleaned and it still didn't appear clean even though it was. Another thing worth noting is that when it rains here the whole campground turns into a swamp as there isn't really any drainage in the campground.
Overall, I'd totally camp here again. You can't beat it's convenient location.

Very well kept and clean campground. We were tent camping and found our stay quite comfortable. The showers were standard - clean but not fancy. We had a site with plenty of shade, as it was wooded on 2 sides. As with many campgrounds, store your food well while away or at night, as the raccoons are hungry!

1st time in that camping, every one were helpfull with us.
we choose that camping for the bike path the Lake and been close to the city of Burlington. When we arrived there was a mistake about our reservation, but Alex was there to help us out. He given us a lot to replace the one that was book at our 1st choice
And make sure we were ok with it.
Even if we were not where we were supposed to be we had everything we need, 3 services and verify if everything was satisfactory.
It is a nice campground with one of the beautifull beach of Champlain Lake, bike path ,
Only 15 min, for the city of Burlington by bike. Tranquil, with very nice mature trees.the WiFi is very good and free.
It is not a very big campground, may be be they could have more than 1 place for shower.
But we will return next year for sure.

Room tip: It is a campground not a hotel ,
