We spent one night there and would have liked to stay longer. It was more than we wanted to spend, but it was WELL WORTH EVERY DOLLAR! It was a great location, it was extremely clean and innovated. The restaurant served a wonderful breakfast farm fresh! We can't wait to go back and visit, this would be the hotel of choice!

Easy walking distance to downtown and waterfront. Very modern, green hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer! Had some kayaking and paddle boarding offered that would have been fun to try. We arrived early and they were very accommodating and stored our things and had our room ready earlier than usual.

even before we arrived at the hotel, we received an email, entitled "we have something planned for you for tomorrow.." upon further reading, we learned that the hotel was offering to take our children to go rock climbing, with an instructor... this touch was new to me and i have never encountered a hotel with such offer... just for this, they deserve high praise...

the organic breakfast was very good... the service all throughout the hotel exceptional... the room (we were four sharing a room with a trundle) was pleasant and modern... we asked for a roll away bed just for a bit more comfort... the hotel is situated right behind the marriott (which, unfortunately takes the view of the lake...

all was well, except for the hotel vermont restaurant delivery truck, who idled his truck between 515am and 600am - something, i am sure, the hotel will look into...

When we arrived at Hotel Vermont Tim checked us in and made us feel at home. He offered us good tips of things to do in Burlington. The room was very spacious and it was nice to have a shower and sink on one side of the room and a toilet and sink on the other side. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. We had the 5th floor king corner room with a view of Lake Champlain. What an absolutely beautiful sight! The hotel was a quick walk down to the lake and also close to University of Vermont. We enjoyed walking around Church Street and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. Hen of the Wood is right next door and is a wonderful restaurant! We loved the coffee and hot chocolate set up on each floor. There were fresh plums out also which was a nice touch. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel that was very fresh and delicious. All of the hotel and front desk staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed the live music in the lobby at night and the scene in the bar area was very lively. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back to Hotel Vermont one day soon!

Room Tip: We loved the king corner room on the 5th floor with a view of the lake

I would travel to Burlington just to stay here again. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The location is ideal as you are down by the lake but within a couple of blocks of the Church Street pedestrian mall. The inside of the hotel is superb, a wonderful mixture of stone and wood. It definitely makes you think of Vermont. The bed was very comfortable. This is a eco friendly hotel without being in your face about it. If you are in Burlington and want a great stay, stay here.

Fun design elements, nice room and bath. They did almost everything right. Here were my very nit picky comments - the list of what they did right is way too long to list!
1. The shades in the guest room did not do a perfect job of keeping the morning sun from coming in
2. The lighting is a few places was just not great or up to the std of the rest of the overall design (example, poor quality lighting, no switch for reading light on my side of bed, only on other side, lighting in elevator was like a hospital operating room).
Staff were all very outgoing and friendly. Had a wonderful dinner at Hen of the Wood next door.
Breakfast was awesome, fresh fruit, yogurt and homemade granola.
Overall, I’d give this place a 4.8 on a 5 rating. Next time I’m in Burlington, I know where I staying.

Everything about this boutique hotel is clean/fresh/young/hip and friendly. Do yourself a favour next time you're in Burlington/Vermont and spend a couple of days at this fabulous hotel. Don't forget to book into Hen in the Woods restaurant, an incredible dining experience right next door (affiliated with the hotel). If you manage to book a room with a whirlpool tub you won't regret it.
Thanks to all the attentive staff. You made our 9th wedding anniversary memorable.
