Be careful if making a phone reservation as trip advisor had the number for the other location as they have 2 locations. Food was good and they had an early bird oyster special. No off street parking.

They take reservations online. Small restaurant- minimum seating. Excellent food , drink and service, but expect to pay top dollar.

Others give this place rave reviews, but not me and several of my friends. Creative menu items for sure, but wayyyyy overpriced.

The preparation and cooking at Hen of the Wood leads to a terrific dining experience. Flawless service, creative presentations of a variety of small plates and entrees. Each course was outstanding and several diners mentioned that a particular dish was the most delicious they had ever tasted. Desserts were incredible. Book well in advance. Happy Hour offers oysters at 4-5pm.

Had an amazing meal at the private chefs table located in the kitchen prep area. Set menu includes a bottle of Prosecco and numerous courses of meat-centric family style plates. Menu changes daily, but our meal included oysters, rabbit, steak, and so much more. Servings are very generous and we left with bags of leftovers. Good wine list, friendly service, and a truly unique experience at this private table. I would recommend to any carnivores.
