“Newer property, Fine stay”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Stayed here for one night on points. I don't typically stay at a Courtyard, but this was the only Marriott property in Burlington. The room was fine, king size bed and small sofa. The bathroom was modern with a large glass shower without a door. There was some mold and finger marks on the glass. When staying in a hotel, the last thing I want to see is evidence of prior visitors so I would have liked the bathroom a little cleaner. The parking garage is shared with other properties and is not very well lit when walking to the underground hotel entrance. There is an area a few blocks away with many shops and restaurants. I was surprised by the number of homeless asking for handouts. I was also a little uncomfortable walking back to the hotel at night. I would stay here again if I was in Burlington, but it was one of those been there once, no need to visit again kind of places.

Once again, we were in room 602, with a fabulous lake view. The hotel is in a great location downtown, with just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. It was an average-sized room, with a fridge, coffee m/c (no kettle), desk, comfy chairs and loads of charging points, including by the bed. The bathroom has a spa bath, with shutters that open onto the room, but the separate shower is quite small. The WiFi is free and very fast.
,
Breakfast was poor on our first day - eggs good, bacon overdone, potatoes soggy and dry -
but got better as the week went on. The gym is small but well equipped and there is a useful guest laundry.

The housekeeping staff mistakenly took our personal wine glasses when they cleaned the room, but were very good in tracking them down and delivering them back to our room with a profuse apology! Generally all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Lake views are worth the extra

Perfect location, true to Marriott standards that I have come to rely on. Across the street is a great walking path on lake champlain and you are minutes to all the great restaurants and shops. There was an issue with my room and the staff emailed me a day in advance (we were in Quebec City at the time) fixed it and gave me a discount. This was much appreciated. Ferry to ny is also minutes away which I also recommend.

We spent three nights at the Courtyard in July. The hotel overlooks Lake Champlain and our room had a nice view of the lake. It is only a few steps from the waterfront park with its extensive walking an bicycle trails along the lake shore. It is also a five minute walk to the outdoor pedestrian mall in downtown Burlington. There are many shops and restaurants in the area and we enjoyed walking and watching the passers by. Burlington is a great walking city and the hotel is ideally situated to take advantage. There was one small issue with noise. The hotel next door had an outdoor patio with a band that was fairly loud and could be heard in our room. The music stopped by 11 each night so it was not a major problem but it was a bit annoying. The hotel staff was very helpful and offered to switch rooms but we declined. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

This is an above average Courtyard and I stay in a lot of them. Staff is excellent. Example, my wife arrive alone before me with my two young children and staff was available right away to help with luggage up to the room.

The on-site restaurant is surprisingly good. Not the usual Bistro that can be found at most Courtyard's.

Finally, the location is great. Right by the harbor in the center of town. We would gladly stay again when in town.

Room Tip: If possible, get one facing the water. Also, east facing rooms may be loud in the early evening due...

We stayed at the Burlington Courtyard for one night a few weeks ago. It was adequate. The hotel is located downtown close to the water. There are many restaurants nearby but most are "trendy" and would appeal to college age crowd. Hotel bar was expensive and the drinks weren't very good. Had to pay for a bottle of water at front desk as there are no vending machines on hotel room floors. The elevator made a terrible thunking noise. We were charged $8 for parking even though it was the weekend and we were able leave the garage without providing a parking ticket (free). Overall the hotel was average. I think I would consider other if we were to return to Burlington.

Spent two nights in this hotel in late June. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room, grounds and room were extremely clean. We had a wonderful view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains from our room. The location was great for going into town or walking along the waterfront.
