Such a wonderful inn with lovely hosts. Just a beautiful place to visit. It was like stepping back in time. From the flower gardens to the terraces to the beautiful rooms to fabulous breakfast, it was a wonderful experience. We felt at home from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.

We could only stay one night this time, but, as always, it was a wonderful experience. From wine and cheese on the terrace with Nancy, to the beautifully furnished room, and Ralph's wonderful Eggs Benedict breakfast, it was flawless!! Looking forward to returning when we have a bit more time.

Room Tip: Take your choice - you can't go wrong. All the rooms are beautiful, the beds are extremely comf...

Enjoyed my short over-night stay; my room was lovely with comfy beds and a large bathroom. Nancy & Ralph are wonderful hosts!! Sampson, the Golden Retriever is a sweetie - sat with me on the porch while I read my book and had a pot o' tea. There is also a nice path back in the woods to walk around - just lovely!!

Room Tip: I had a room on the front corner - sunset and sunrise through my windows!! As far as the Fitness Ce...

There isn't much I can add to the other positive reviews. This B && B is simply one of the best we have ever stayed in. Nancy and Ralph are ideal hosts. If you are within 50 miles of here, make it a point to out of your way to stay here.

We just returned home from a week long visit to Castleton, visiting our daughter who is a junior at Castleton State College. Although we have stayed at Applewood Manor many times in the past 3 years, this was the first time that we were able to stay for an entire week. What a pleasure! Ralph & Nancy are always the perfect hosts and it feels like coming home each time we walk through the door. The rooms, bathrooms and beds are beyond comfortable and the cleanest we have ever found.

Ralph's breakfasts and Nancy's graciousness are beyond compare. Full, gourmet and satisfying breakfasts are served with elegance and gracious attentiveness. Eggs Benedict, Omelettes, Waffles, Blueberry Pancakes, Fresh Fruit, Yogurt, Bacon & Sausage are some examples of the scrumptious delights that are prepared for you. Attention to detail and accommodation for my gluten/dairy free diet were granted with pleasure!

The upkeep and care of the home and grounds insure that they are always pristine.
We've met many repeat guests over the years and they are just as pleased as we are with every detail and visit.

It's a shame that our daughter will only be attending Castleton for one more year, as we love to come and sit a spell with Sampson (the loving golden retreiver) and his master and mistress of the manor. We will definitely find an excuse to come back, even after her graduation!

Bravo!

Room Tip: Sara's Room is on the first floor and is quite lovely. Great choice for those who find stairs d...

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at Applewood Manor. We were made to feel right at home, had a nice comfortable clean room, offered suggestions on local restaurants for dinner, and treated to a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely recommend it, and would stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you to Nancy and Ralph.
