The suites at The Pointe are great for families with a fully functional kitchen as well as laundry machines in the suite. Staying with children here is easily accommodated with the arcade and pool. Extra closet space for ski equipment also a great help. Perfect for a ski stay.

asked where we could get breakfast and was directed to 2 overpriced diners in Ludlow ($70 for 4 people)... only on our third day there, were we finally told they serve breakfast buffet at the hotel for half that price..... most importantly, front desk was no help finding their hotel in snowstorm. When we complained to general manager, his reaction was a blank stare..zero hospitality from him

Room Tip: ask for newer rooms on other side of pool

Just got back from a three night stay to do some skiing at Okemo. This hotel is very convenient and its only a 5 minute ride to the mountain. We came up during a snow storm a day early. I called the day before to inquire about the shuttle. They told me the times and thought this would be great since we don't have 4 wheel drive. They failed to inform me that the shuttle only runs on weekends and Friday is not considered a weekend. We ended up not having a problem getting up to the mountain, the folks at Okemo do a great job getting it cleared.

The hotel itself is very clean, which is important to us. We had a studio suite which was very comfortable for four. It had a king size bed (very comfie), pull out sofa bed and we got a rollaway (not so comfy) but made it work. Small kitchenette with full size stove, refridgerator and microwave. There is also a small washer and dryer in the unit. Plenty of storage in a large closet. Small bathroom but again clean. Not sure it was the cleaning stuff they used but, our unit had a funky odor. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Stay away from the breakfast at the Sweet Briar.......... for me it was not good. Go to the Hatchery in town or Dunkin Donuts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Any traveler knows that Christmas week can be a tough week. Traffic, weather, plenty of traveling families and a high degree of expectations. Although we liked the property it was basically a Marriott Courtyard built up by association with the Castle Inn. our room rate was pricey but competitive compares to other properties around Okemo. In the Northeast, these ski areas have a few weeks to make their money and Christmas week is one of them so expect to pay top dollar. The downside is that you don't always get the value for that dollar which The Pointe is a prime example of this. Our room was large comfortable but not worth the plus $300 we paid per night. The pool and hot tub was good and what you would expect to find in most major chains. One important thing to note is if you want to use the amenities up at the Castle Inn you will have to pay a daily rate. This I found unfortunate as it may have brought us back. In addition the fitness room is tiny and the universal machine was broken. With only one treadmill getting in a workout may be challenging. the game room was fun and crowded with plenty if kids. the staff was helpful in finding local restaurants but did not go over and above what was required if them. Our room was cleaned after 2 pm which made nap time for my daughter difficult but it was a full house in their defense. On NYE, the pool was only open to 945 and according to the staff the library and restaurant at the Castle was only open until 10PM. What a disappointment that was for us as our oldest son who was visiting with us from college could have watched his siblings while mom and dad went up the hill to celebrate. Lastly, breakfast was nothing special and pricey. In summary, it's just an overpriced courtyard but clean and family friendly so may be worth the stay as the mountain resorts fill up and options are limited.

Great location, staff is helpful, website is mis-leading. We researched hotels in the Vermont region and we stumbled on the The Point at Castle Hill Resort. From the website we gathered that Castle Hill Resort was a resort, its a restaurant and spa. There are no exterior photos of the Pointe, its urban vinyl siding does not compare to the majestic pictures of restaurant. The published rate for a "king suite" was $228.00 on the site. Still undecided we waited until we were in route to Vermont to make the reservation (2 hours later) we called the hotel and wanted to make a reservation and were told that there was no such published rate and we maybe had it confused with castle hill in Newport. (not the case) We were told that the rate was $268.00, with the small 7lb dog. Ahh what the heck.lets do it. Upon check out I was presented with an additional bill for pets. Two nights over $700.00, should have flown to las vegas.

I was a little disappointed with this hotel based on what I saw and read on the hotel website. I was expecting a level of luxury and elegance, but his hotel is rather basic, much like a standard Marriott minus the room service.

We stayed one night with our dog via the pet-friendly package. We were grateful that the hotel allowed pets at no additional charge and did not require a pet deposit. However, only 2 queen beds are allowed with the pet-friendly package, which seemed a bit rigid, especially since I stayed with my husband and just wanted 1 king bed.

We stay here every year for our annual ski trip to Okemo Mountain in Vermont. My kids love the bunk beds, game room and indoor pool.. We enjoy the breakfast , the large fireplace in the lobby and the board games provided. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and neat. The rooms are particularly large which is wonderful for families..
