“Spacious rooms”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

My wife and I stayed here in August 2014. We booked 2 nights (2 queen beds) through an online special. The room was very specious, with a TV and fridge. I was a little upset that we did not have a microwave, since we can never finish a meal! Very comfortable beds and no noise complaints.

Check in/out was a breeze and the front desk staff helped in any way needed. The resteraunt (attached to Castle Hill) was on the expensive side (unless a special was running). Free Wi-Fi

The Pointe Hotel was located 4 minutes from downtown Ludlow, VT. PLENTY of places to eat! Everything shuts down at 9/10 pm, so don't expect to be out late.

Overall happy with this hotel and would stay again.

Room Tip: If you need a microwave: get a suite.

We had reserved a suite for one night and then decided to stay the next night as well. It was a very comfortable, one bedroom suite with a king bed, propane fireplace and whirlpool tub. There was a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to make a full meal. The room was wonderfully clean and comfortable. It was just a short drive to Ludlow with may restaurants to choose from. The only thing missing was robes, which would have been a nice touch.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a suite!

We attended my niece's wedding In late June at this small resort . The accomodations were superb . Upgrade to a suite if you can !
If you are looking for a destination wedding , you will be agreeable surprise by the food, venues and location of this place .
If you only want a romantic weekend , this is a great get away !
We had 3 generations in,our family group and everyone loved it and were made to feel welcome , if we had any special needs , the staff found a way to accomodate us
The food was outstanding , the hors d' oeuvres were spectaculars and different . The staff is professional and attentive .
The castle is an old mansion up and away from the newer hotel. they did offer bus shuttle . For those who could not walk up the steep drive . That building was beautiful, with antiques and beautiful architecture . The pool and spa is located near it .

It was the PERFECT venue for a wedding !

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite if it fits your budget, it's a great deal !

We stayed here with a small group of friends, we each had our own suite. All of us loved the suites although I yearned for more counter space in the bathroom. It's very clean and seems recently updated. We encountered staff on many occasions and I thought the chambermaids especially were a bit cold and the service was very, very slow so check in may be delayed. Not like other hotels where they at least smile or say hello. No big deal but worth a comment I think. There are several good restaurants within minutes and their own, The Castle, is worth a visit....check out the nightly specials.

Room Tip: Ask for a 2nd floor suite facing the road because the back side rooms face the woods and a cliff typ...

We were looking for a relaxing place to stay for a short vacation and found a great deal for the Pointe hotel online. The rooms were huge (we had a couch and a big reading chair as well as a small table and chairs), extremely clean, comfortable, cozy, and welcoming without that "hotel" feel. The surrounding area is lovely, too (though I would have preferred an area further from the highway; the grounds are mostly the resort area and there aren't big wooded areas to walk through on the property like I thought there would be), and we had the chance to use the spa, which was wonderful and gave us access to the outdoor pool and hot tub, the tennis courts, and the steam rooms in the changing areas (definitely worth it!). The staff were exceptional; so kind and accommodating, giving us things like extra coffee and tea and even printing out directions for me. They are big during the ski season, but the summer trip we took was so lovely.

We enjoyed our stay here. When I called to ask for a one night stay, they insisted that I book two nights. I found a cheaper rate for one night online. When I checked in, the front desk was wonderful. They suggested a great place for breakfast, and even called to check the hours for us as we needed a very early breakfast. Our room had two queen beds, and was large. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were Aveda products. The wall mirror in the room was in an odd location for use (too close to the bed). There were very noisy soccer guests (9-10 year old girls screaming)in the pool area who were also consuming food and their obnoxious parents consuming alcohol in glass bottles right by the indoor pool. No sign of staff in this area, and they were needed to address the excessive noise from young female soccer guests.
When we checked out, the man on the front desk did not ask how our stay was.
