From the quaint diner atmosphere to the friendly waitress, this restaurant is a great surprise. The apple-cinnamon pancake with real Vermont maple syrup and butter ($3.95) and the egg sandwich with Cabot Vermont cheese ($3.95) were just delicious. Why anyone would pay about the same for a nuked egg McMuffin is beyond us. This is a fun and yummy place!

My family loves this place. We probably go three or four times a year when we're staying in the area, and we're never disappointed. Yesterday, we went for breakfast, and everything was delicious. You can't beat the breakfast sandwich, omelette, or pancakes. Service is always friendly and efficient (Thanks again, Jamie!), and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. We'll keep going back.

My family has had a house in nearby Andover for nearly 30 years- for many of those years we were all about the grab and go breakfast and hit the slopes. Now that the kids are a little older we've started exploring and on our way out of town we usually stop at the Country Girl Diner to fuel up. We stopped in on this trip for Breakfast and were fortunate to get 5 seats at the counter. The owners really care about their customers and the food is very well prepared. Lots of variety on the menu, locally sourced products and served hot! 5 of us (including 3 teenagers) for a total of $35. Great ambience, great food, great service and a very cool place (ask about the history!)

Written on a blackboard on the wall is a request that customers express their opinioin of the Diner on TripAdvisor or other named alternative rating services.

From the time we were greeted heartily as we walked into this Diner, it was clear that the staff was mindful of the aforementioned request and were determined to be well spoken of if and when comments were made about them.

That's a good thing, in my view, and it carries the purpose of TripAdvisor and others to a high and meaningful use. The man in the kitchen was a player too.

It is not a normal thing for a restaurant to make breakfast attractive, but he did it while making it very tasty and prompt to the table. The pancakes were partlcularly delightful (and rather huge) and included the maple syrup that is the pride of Vermont. The friendly and efficient waitress was alert to any need before we realized it existed. What a pleasant experience, and at a diner yet! We ate breakfast there more than once, and we drove past several alternatives to get there.
