Just stayed at the Fullerton Inn, Chester, VT. (July 2014) Loved the comfortable, cozy atmosphere and relaxing music played throughout the day/evening at the inn. The room was exceptionally clean and I rate that the highest experienced. The Innkeepers were most accommodating. The entire staff were most pleasant and helpful. I liked the convenience of having meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) available there too. There were so many places to sit and relax. The outside spaces were great for dining and just enjoying a peaceful day or evening. I did not miss having a television or phone in the room at all. The pace was perfect for slowing down a hurried pace and just getting back to what is important in life. Great place for reflection, writing, and easy conversation. I have always found Vermont so refreshing. The scenery is always wonderful. Nice main street to walk and continue for a long stretch if so desired. I definitely recommend the Fullerton. (Note: Meals could use a little improvement. Several entrees were cooked a bit too long making the fish/meat dry and/or tough. Mention desired result when ordering.)

Room Tip: Loved the room with access to the porch on the second floor.

I have eaten at the Fullerton Inn many times over the past 2 years, mostly in the summer and fall months. The food is always excellent and exciting. Where else can you get jambalaya, arctic char, or black bean pesto in Vermont ? Dining on the porch , watching time go by in Chester is very relaxing. The wait staff, especially Ashley, are attentive and quite helpful. There is a full menu for people travelling with children, too. What a great place to spend a nice evening, eating great food !!

My wife and I and another couple visited this inn several years ago and haven't had the opportunity to return. It is a piece of Americana in rural Vermont that will not disappoint you if you're looking for a nice room, great food (serving breakfast and dinner) and great staff. It has an attached small bar and a great wood burning fire place for the cool autumn or cold winter nights.

We chose the Fullerton for its central location to many of the best sights in central and southern Vermont. The Inn is attractive from the outside and has a welcoming lobby and lounge with a large fireplace. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were very good and there's also a tavern serving some good local beers. The bedroom was on the the small side, and pretty basic, but we slept reasonably well. Our only complaint was the discovery of an empty bottle, cups and dust under the beds. Clearly this area hadn't been cleaned for quite a long time.

What a great find--quiet, clean, relaxing, nice room, friendly staff--breakfast included and very adequate--no rush-- We stayed the weekend of the time change and the inn staff posted reminders to change the time. Chester was easy to walk around and close enough to other tourist places nearby. The peace and quiet at the inn was relaxing, the fireplace inviting, the food was very good and reasonably priced--we ate in the tavern or the main restaurant the 2 nights we were there.

Charming country inn bed and breakfast, friendly staff, great location in Chester, wonderful breakfast! We arrived fairly late and were still checked in with a smile. Breakfast included fresh made giant waffle, bagels, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit salad, donuts, juice, hot coffee, tea, etc.
