“Good food, but a little chilly!”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

This was a great, friendly place. The restaurant is situated in the midst of an antique shop, even the lamp on the table had a price tag on it. I enjoyed the ambiance. The fan over the table made us all feel a bit chilly, and we were advised that it couldn't be turned off (short of standing on the table to reach the pull chain.) The food was good. I had lobster and it was cooked to perfection. The hush puppies in the bread basket were a nice surprise! The salad was made with iceberg lettuce, I would have preferred better lettuce. The accompanying corn and potatoes were very plain but overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would go back. The mile high apple pie and coffee were delicious and made a nice ending to a decent meal.

“Fresh seafood in the heart of Vermont”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

This is a really neat restaurant located in the back of an antique store. It is a little hard to find as their signage is not really visible from the main drag (RT 11) so make sure you have good directions.
They maintain large salt water tanks in the basement so the lobster and other sea food is completely fresh. My wife and I shared a lobster and the baked scallops. Both dishes came out great.
The waiter was very accommodating and helped make the sharing easy. He also modified the side dishes to fit our wants. Most impressively, he found an ice bucket for the wine we had brought (the restaurant encourages this as they have no liquor license) from the inventory of the antique store and used that to keep the wine chilled!
Overall we had a great time and will stop by again next time we visit Chester.
