We stayed one night in the butterfly room. The room was very dark, so we had to put the lights on when we were in the room. It was rather small, and when we dropped something which rolled behind the drawer, it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned out there in a long time. The bathroom was clean, one of the towels wasn't. The free breakfast didn't amount to much, a coffee, juice and a muffin that wasn't good. We found this motel overpriced for what it offered.

Motel in the Meadow is truly a throw back, meaning it's simply an old school motel like the one I stayed in as a kid traveling with Mom & Dad 40 years ago. Clean, neat, organized rooms, no modern day brass and glass, just a comfortable bed, and a hot shower. SIMPLE yet it works. We arrived late (~10 p.m.) and had called ahead to let the inkeepers know. They told us the key would be under the mat in front of the door, and we could check in in the morning. Total VT trusting, genuine people.

The main lobby has a small offering of cold ceral, a couple of baked muffins, coffee or juice to get you started.....at 7 a.m.

This was our second stay at the Motel in the Meadows and we'd stay again next time in Chester.

We stayed here on a ski trip to Okemo. When we arrived we were greeted by Pat, one of the friendliest ladies I have ever meet. The motel in in a quite area of the town, but not far from Chester Center. It is a charming, clean and warm place. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms immaculate and the beds were super comfortable. It is an older place but for the price and what you got for it, this was an outstanding value. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for an affordable place to stay to ski Okemo. This motel is everything you hope for in a no-fuss motel at this price point. The rooms were small but cute, reminding us of motels from our childhood. The room had nice touches including a comfortable chair and a small table and chairs. The bathroom was immaculate, the showerhead was great, and there was plenty of hot water. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast was simple but nice to have included. We will definitely return.

Clean. Simple. Owner-operated. Reminded me of the trips with my parents when you just drove and found a place that looked nice to stay for the night onto your next destination although here you could stay for a few days and settle in to what the beautiful countryside has to offer. We would definitely stay again.
