A classic European style cottage in the midst of the rolling hills of Vermont farmland. Modern day construction that replicates the fine craftsmanship of an antique structure makes for 4-star luxury accommodations that I was surprised to find in a rural area. Super clean and tidy, bright and airy - smells like fresh-cut wood inside. Plenty of space to unpack. A mix of antique and contemporary furnishings. Large rain-head shower. Two bathrooms with marble counters and Restoration Hardware style chrome fixtures. Comfortable sitting area with flat screen and Direct TV. Fast wi-fi. Simple and uncluttered - a really relaxing spot to unwind. We watched the sun rise over the Green Mountains from the carriage doors as we made coffee in the kitchen --which is well-equipped for a cook with sharp knives, pots and pans, and counter space. Can hear the cows and chickens in the distance. View of green fields all around. Adjacent to a dirt road and paved road so occasional road noise but not intrusive. No washer/dryer which was a bummer. Close to Middlebury and Champlain Valley. Great for cycling and running. Owners make it relaxed and easy to stay here. Would stay again for sure and recommend to friends who'll be in the area. Loved it!
