Our organization recently held a meeting at the Dorset Inn and everything about the property, food and service was excellent. They were very accommodating and attentive to details. Highly recommend this inn for personal or business travel.

The Dorset Inn provided the warm atmosphere for the recent Vermont Humanities Council Talk lead by Peter Gilbert. We had a wonderful discussion of some "Spring" poems by Robert Frost. The living room was wonderful, we had some delicious snacks and Cathy and Nonni were extraordinarily attentive hostesses! Thank you!

We can not rave enough about this little Inn! Service is spectacular, the rooms immaculate and the food is superb. With the addition of Barrows House just up the way you have lots of options for dining (try both - Amy at the bar at Barrows is a lovely lady). The breakfast is indulgent so you'll need to walk it off around the village or shop in Manchester. Make sure to say hello to Paddy at the bar and get a lesson in beer, wine or spirits - his knowledge is extensive and interesting! Enjoy the couches by the fire and let the relaxation begin. We also love that is pet friendly (only certain rooms) so our fur-kid can travel with us.

My husband and I were staying in Manchester, Vt and by chance happened upon the Dorset Inn. We saw their sign saying that they offered a Irish music with a buffet on St Patricks Day - we stopped in - the staff was so welcoming that we chose to make a reservation - it was DELIGHTFUL - outstanding food - traditional music - and a truly welcoming atmosphere - we loved our evening!!!!

We snuck away for a wine pairing dinner & a night @ the Inn. We live only 30 min. away and maintain an extremely busy schedule so we had hopes for a nice night away. Our hopes were greatly exceeded and we felt totally removed from the daily grind. The meals, the staff & the accomodations couldn't have been nicer! There was great attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. Highly recommend the experience for a 1 night or a 1 week stay. Fully suggest checking their calendar of events and planning your own getaway.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the suites and must say it was well laid out and well appointed.

My mom and I went to Dorset Inn to take a little time off. It could not have been more perfect.
They surprised us with an upgrade to a suite. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful.
I enjoyed spending the day downstairs in the main living room, by a huge fireplace... The ladies made me tea and I just sat there reading my book. Nobody bothered me.
The breakfast was super delicious.
Unfortunately, the day we were there, their own restaurant was closed. However, they have a sister property where we could get dinner. It was a short walk from the Dorset Inn. The food was delicious. The beet salad was my favorite.

If you love books and really awesome bookstores - I suggest that you visits the Bookstore in Manchester, VT. That is a short drive from Dorset and its super cool. The vibe in there is very "Bookwarmy" and they have great Grilled CHeese sandwiches.

We Have been going to the Dorset Inn to enjoy their midweek Gourmet Getaway for three years in a row. It is the perfect place to go and unwind after all the holiday hustle and bustle. The staff of the inn have always made us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. We were surprised with a room upgrade that had a large bathroom with a jacuzzi jetted tub. Wonderfully scented toiletries and nice crisp white fluffy towels are just some of the special touches we love. There is always a little complimentary sweet treat, and Dorset Inn bottled water in your room. Small special touches that make a big impact.
The restaurant at the inn is just incredible. All of our meals have been absolutely delicious. Morning meals are served in a inviting breakfast room. Stuffed french toast incredible. Omelettes delish. Local bacon with just the perfect smokiness. Coffee topped off and kept hot.
The morning waitress cheery and attentive.
Evening meals are served in your choice of a beautiful formal dining room or the casual comfortable tavern. Both have real wood burning fireplaces adding to the charm and ambiance of the inn. Dinner truly is a "Gourmet experience" Everything is prepared with fresh and when ever possible local ingredients. We have never been disappointed with our selections from the thoughtful menu. Our last visit was Super Bowl Weekend and our waitress was amazing. We were running long during our dinner and wanted to catch the beginning of the game. We asked if there was any way she could serve us our dessert in the living room, so that we could see the game from the start. She said "No problem , Go on in and I'll bring you the menus" We had our yummy desserts while we watched the game sitting comfortably in the living room. She was a real gem! This is an example of how all the staff at the Dorset treat their guests.
Obviously we can't. say enough good things about this Beautiful Inn. Come and enjoy a stay here....you won't be disappointed!
