The Squire House is the perfect place to stay and enjoy Vermont. We have stayed there for 5 years now every October and just love it. Roger and Gay are the perfect hosts, always helpful with info on interesting things to do, the newest place to eat or just making you so comfortable that you never want to go anywhere. I could easily bring my knitting or a couple good books and curl up in one of the beautiful rooms downstairs in front of a fire and never leave.
The house is elegant, full of comfortable furniture and antiques. The grounds are meticulously cared for. The granola, offered as a side dish at breakfast, is worth the 7 hour drive to get here, not to forget the entire breakfast experience, which considering the gourmet food and the interesting guests can stretch on for hours. We are already looking forward to our return in October.
