“Superb B&B”
Reviewed 1 September 2013

Located this B&B while searching for places to stay near the Kingdom Trails network. What a great find! We showed up without a reservation and were offered a mid-week special rate for mountain bikers. I suspect they are full most weekends (it is a popular wedding location) so I would not advise just randomly showing up on a Friday or Saturday. The Creamery building (brick building next to the main yellow house) is where most of the rooms seem to be. We stayed in the Waterford, a great little corner room. Three choices were offered at breakfast (which was tasty) and afternoon tea is also offered.

The property is beautiful with a half dozen red barns, lots of gardens, and animals. The Kingdom Trail network is behind the property. The Kingdom Trails bike package comes with 2 trail tickets (which you redeem in town at the trails shop).

The staff were lovely and helpful.

If I tell you how much my wife and I loved the Inn, and how incredibly beautiful the surrounding East Burke is, I'm afraid you'll discover something so unique and majestic that when the rest of the world finds out, East Burke will become another overrun tourist destination.

The Inn is literally on a gorgeous farm with hundreds of acres of land. It's a top a mountain, so we had 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape. Breath taking...

The rooms we're quaint, and had a true cottage/country feel.

We stayed during the week (they are usually booked for weddings on weekends), and it was peaceful because there we're only a few other guests. The first night we had the place to ourselves!

The Inn staff, upon request also helped us prepare a Bon fire and provide s'mores each night if our stay. SO wonderful, especially at sunset.

Speaking of the staff, the experience was highlighted by Caitlyn, the Inn manager. She went out if her way to make us feel at home, and to accommodate out many requests. She really made our stay!

I'd definitely recommend the Inn. It isn't just a place to stay. It's a place to escape, relax, and reenergize in what we think is the true Vermont!

Cait and the Inn staff make you feel so welcome. Cait personally knew the trails and gave us priceless advice. The Inn's views are breathtaking and the perennial gardens are gorgeous. The rooms were very clean and decorated lovely. Lastly, breakfast was scrumptious.

We spent the weekend at this lovely, old, beautiful working farm to attend a wedding. There is a wonderful view of the mountains, from anywhere you look. Though it is a farm, the setting is elegant with immaculately kept, grounds, flower and herb gardens. Can you say relax! There are farm animals, horses, sheep and goats. Our venue was a reception, which was held in a beautiful barn with a bar, large dance floor and seating...with some individual tables set up in stalls which gave each table a cozy feel.

The service was outstanding...always greeted with a smile and anything you needed, from check in, bartender Shawn, wood for the outdoor fire, breakfast to ice for drinks. Our rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable.

This place would be a great romantic weekend get-away, fantastic for kids, for a wedding or family reunion. Can't say enough...it was gorgeous and relaxing in a way I can't describe.

Room Tip: The corner rooms in the Creamery were spacious and nice. I know there are rooms in the house for th...

If you want to literally "get away from it all" this is the place to go. Cait & the rest of the staff make you feel like your part of the family. A very warm & welcoming place. The views are amazing no matter where you are on the farm. Rooms are beatutfully decorated and clean. The wedding we attended there was one of the best & original I have ever been to to. The breakfasts were out of this world. It was very hard to leave this Little Piece of Heaven on Earth!! We will return next year.

Mike and I had our beautiful wedding on the grounds of the Inn and we were able to have our family and closest friends stay with us on site. Despite the gray and sometimes rainy weather that weekend, we had a spectacular stay. Cait, the wedding coordinator of the Inn, effortlessly made everyone feel welcomed and a part of our day. From the rehersal dinner on the front patio, to the fires with smores afterhours, to the ceremony and the reception, the Inn provided something truly special and unmatched by other venues. The personal touches, and the fact that it is still a working farm made a huge difference. We were also able to mountain bike the Kingdom Trails each day, which is one of our favorite network of trails. A huge thank you to Cait, who made it all come together, the cat we have doubed "paco" for welcoming and entertaining our guests, Emma the donkey for making us smile, the chef of the delicious breakfasts, and the beautifully kept grounds with sweeping views of pristine landscape. Some of our guests have already said they will be going back, and so will we!!!! If you are looking for a relaxing stay and experiencing a slice of heaven, the Inn at Mountain View Farm is the place!

It's hard to overstate how sweeping and beautiful the views are from Mountain View farm -- it's a great spot for leaf peeping in the fall. The farm itself adds to the scenery, with multiple buildings adding to a classic landscape. We stayed in the Creamery, which houses the breakfast room and common area on the first floor. Our room (Westmore) was spacious, nicely appointed, and included a couch as well as a bed; while the bathroom was large, it contained a very small shower. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The choices were fine, but the hot food was not well prepared. Cold, wet weather prevented us from using the web of trails around the farm, but in better weather they would have been very appealing.

Room Tip: If you're staying in the Creamery, choose a corner room: they have more windows and more space.
