Haven Guest House Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 3 Fair Haven B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 5 February 2012

We just returned from the Haven Guest House. The hosts were very gracious, offering coffee by 6:30 and the breakfast choices were terrific. Homemade bread, Vermont maple syrup, French toast using with wonderful bread and apricot/mango jam were among the highlights of the meal.
The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The Inn is within walking distance to many establishments in town and has ample parking.
I recommend this B and B and would return should we have the chance.

Room Tip: Winter specials at $99 a room is a good value

An absolute gem. Gisele and Werner provided an outstanding B&B experience from start to finish. Beautiful home, generous and comfortable room, superb breakfast and brilliant hosts. Just a wonderful place to stay.

A bright spot in a rainy weekend. The room was spotless as was the rest of the house. The bed was comfortable. The owner's had the fireplace going which made for a cozy place to sit and read a book as it was damp and dreary outside. The breakfast we had each day was fabulous. Homemade bread and other goodies along with several choices and specials were offered each day. I recommend the blueberry pancakes. The owners were friendly and helpful and our stay was delightful.

We chose the Haven Guest House because of all the great reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were not dissapointed. Gisele and Werner were wonderful hosts from the time we arrived until the time we left. We stayed in the Apple Blossom room which had a very comfortable King size bed. The room was good sized and very clean. In the back yard they have a large water feature which is a great place to read and relax. I'll save the best for last:Breakfast! It started with fruit, some homemade treats and bread which were great. When you go you have to try Werner's omelettes. All I can say is top notch! Look forward to going back again.

This is a delightful B & B, beautiful rooms, warm host and hostess, and delicious breakfast. There were comfortable places to relax both inside the house, on the porch, or in the garden. Werner and Gisela are always available to answer questions or provide local advice. The bed was divine - great sleeping. I would drive a ways to enjoy another stay at this B & B.

We booked this Bed and Breakfast through a recommendation made by the Bride, whose wedding we were attending in the area. Gisela and Werner were absolutely wonderful. Their "Haven" is exactly that. Booking directly with the hosts of the B&B via phone was an easy and simple process. The details regarding reservation and deposits were clear and succinct.

Being the typical urbanites that we are, our trip schedule was "revised" and we ended up getting to "Haven" after midnight after 5 hours of driving. Our hosts waited for us, concerned that we may have had some trouble and were welcoming and sweet, even though we missed our check-in time by more than 4 hours. The room, "Marigold", was clean, cool, and a comfortable. Simply decorated the room was planned with special attn to detail. Each room has private bathroom and fresh, SOFT, linens. The rooms are very private and though we were NOT the only guests, you couldn'd hear a peep. Not even when people were going down the stairs. Old homes have a soul and this one is no exception.
The feature that most impressed my boyfriend was the wireless access. He turned on his computer and "DONE". As he travels for work regularly, he commented that that type of amenity isn't always offered at larger hotel chains, especially free of charge.
Breakfast was an INCREDIBLE experience.
They had a wonderful assortment of breakfast options, including daily specials. Carb-phobes beware!... They have fantastic french toast and home made breads... Coffee was fresh and plentiful and their omelettes were YUMMY! The local blueberries(Picked by the neighbor!!!) were wonderful. With a lovely new pond on the back, and a charming house garden with herbs and vegetables growing, this establishment is doing everything right. From complimentary water and soft drinks available to all guests at all times, to the care and concern that Gisela and Werner shower on their guest, the Haven is doing everything the right way.
I hope you are able to enjoy their hospitality as much as we did.
