The beautiful, white marble facade with green veins running through was the opener to lovely architecture throughout the inn. Lovely double front parlor and hardwoods on first floor serve to enhance the beauty of the white marble fireplaces, numerous throughout the property. Food offerings were superb, gourmet made from scratch (popovers, poppy seed scones, orange scones, egg and cheese individual souffles, Canadian bacon,etc.). The hosts could not have been more gracious and staff member, Theresa, was a compliment to the owner-manager husband and wife team. The inn is pet-friendly with pets of the owners on hand. Bed linens were luxurious. All-in-all, the most restful, relaxed vacation I've experienced in a long time made more pleasant by the friendliness of the owners.

Room Tip: You can hear trains whistles from some rooms.

I ad the pleasure of staying at the Marble Mansion Inn recently during the holidays and found it to be one of the most inviting and charming b&b's that I have every stayed at. The room was great, the gourmet breakfast was amazing and the holiday decorations were wonderful. I anticipate staying there again.

We were in awe from the second we stepped through the door. The proprietors maintain the mansion impeccably, and their attention to detail is visible in every room. The beds rival the comfortable bedding in the finest of hotels. What is served as a continental breakfast (popover, egg soufflé, fresh berries) was gourmet, fresh, and hot from the oven. There is a sign in the dining room that says "Come as a guest; leave as a friend". It is plain to see that Greg and Sharon take this statement to heart.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B & B for 2 nights. Our Shakespeare Room looked out on the village green. Breakfasts are exceptional, with egg soufflés, frittatas, home made scones and waffles, served on Havilland china. Furnishings are lovely and welcoming. We especially enjoyed conversations with Sharon and Greg about the area, as mwy husband lived in Fair Haven as a teenager. Upon their suggestion, we dined at the Fair Haven Inn, a short walk away. Dinner was excellent. The fall colors were breathtaking in the surrounding mountains. A great time of year for hiking. We will be back!
