“What a find!”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

This place serves some really delicious bistro style food. Everything from burgers to Vietnamese sandwiches. The pizza that passed our table almost made us order seconds it looked so delicious! Service was a little slow, but they had live music (Thursday night) and a really relaxing atmosphere. Oh, the red raspberry pie and ice cream was life changing.

“Nice place for casual and tasty dinner in area”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

This area of Vermont is rural -and a bit remote- and places to dine are far-between. Browns Market Bistro is an asset in the region: a place for a casual and tasty dinner, from a menu with nice choices, plus a friendly and hospitable atmosphere - with reasonable prices as well.

“A Hidden Gem In Rural Vermony”
Reviewed 15 June 2013 via mobile

Love this place and have been at least a dozen times. Great food and quaint atmosphere. Music on Thursdays and often on Saturdays. Reservations highly recommended on Thursdays and Fridays. New chef but food is still delicious. Owner and staff really care about the restaurant and its patrons. Try the roast chicken, bon mi sandwich and Mile High Pie. Bread is fresh made and unbelivably awesome!

“Brown's has it all!”
Reviewed 1 March 2013

Amazing food which is creative and always delicious, a charming bistro atmosphere, helpful and enthusiastic owners, reasonable prices--Brown's has it all. Great food has been hard to find in the Northeast Kingdom, but not anymore! Zack and Michelle have created a cozy spot in Groton--it reminds us of the wonderful small-town restaurants that you can find in France, with a talented chef in the kitchen and his gracious wife taking care of the customers.

Zach is one of those chefs who can put together surprising ingredients in a way that always works! Imagine tacos with a thin, crispy corn tortilla filled with luscious duck confit (which Zach makes himself), crunchy ginger-balsamic slaw, maple-smoked cheddar, cool avocado, and spicy siracha sauce for a kick. A perfect balance that always delights.

Imagine the thinnest, freshest potato chips served with garlic and truffle oil. Heaven!

Imagine a tender chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and spinach with smooth mashed potatoes and the most delicious mushroom-cream sauce. To die for!

I could go on and on--the risottos, the hamburgers, the soups--but you must hurry there as soon as possible to discover your new favorite restaurant!

Keep in mind that Brown's is open Wednesday-Friday evenings from 5:00-9:00.

“Delish!!!”
Reviewed 17 February 2013

Nothing but praises for Brown's Market Bistro in beautiful "downtown Groton Vermont"! The quality of the cuisine and excellent service are a winning combination. Chef Zachery has a bold imagination and executes everything he prepares to perfection. The New England Clam Chowder was the best I've ever eaten. The Vinnie Burger exceeds all expectations and the accompanying garlic truffle fries are unique and yet reminiscent of something we've all eaten before. The wine list is ample and reasonably priced. All in all, you can't find better eats anywhere in the region. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
