Started with the Barr Hill Gin drink special,-ooh la la that was good...and brussell sprouts sauteed in a balsamic reduction....we all ordered different dinners, from the ribs coated in a coffee rub special, to fried chicken and I had the black bean burger with a bulgur and sautéed green salad. It was all yummy. we split two decadent desserts--amazing chocolate pate with yummy things on top and a flourless chocolate pecan torte.....all heavenly. Thank you Chef Harrison and staff PS the music Jeanne and Jim was good--beautiful and not overpowering--

We live nearby and went to Claire's last night to try the new chef and new menu. We had a very enjoyable dinner and will definitely be back. I tried the special appetizer of fried green tomatoes with jalapeño sauce which was very good but we thought my husband's fried risotto appetizer was even better. Delicious! For an entree I had the gnocchi with pumpkin and beets which is an unusual combination but worked wonderfully. I am a gnocchi aficionado, having eaten it many times in Italy and even making it myself. This gnocchi was very light and tasty. My husband had the large diver scallop dish which was also excellent.

We like that Claire's now has cushions on the benches which helps for comfort and sound. And we loved the excellent bread! Really nice service people. All in all, it was a totally pleasant dinner!

We just love Claire's.We arrived early to enjoy their boutique bar where unique cocktails are made from Vermont spirits and house made infusions. The Tossed Salad Martini is incredible, made from cucumber infused Vermont vodka with tomatoe shrub and basil lime salt rim, yum! On to dinner. We started with a bowl of delectable brussel sprouts, braised with guanciale and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. Tender, sweet, and tangy with crisps of smokiness, quite wonderful! We also enjoyed the fresh beet and chèvre salad, with tender greens and local chèvre, perfect! And then there was the to die for braised pork belly immersed in a blend of kimchi and Cabot cheddar grits topped with a poached egg. Are you hungry yet? Here is more, our other entree, succulent scallops surrounded by Cabot cheddar grits, chorizo, lions mane shrooms and crisped purple
potato, quite delicate and rich! The service was great and the restaurant welcoming and Vermont chic. So jump in your car, it is worth the drive. Until next time, Bon appetit!

Monday is Trivia Night, which means a great $15 burger and draft beer special to power up your brain, followed by trivia with a room full of good natured goofballs. Creativity counts in your answers and plenty of fun is had by all. Check out their dessert menu!

6 of us went for a birthday dinner. The food was great (we had 4 appetizers, 6 entrees, 7 dessert) and the drinks were awesome (including Hill Farmstead beer on tap)! Poutine, tomato salad with smoked mozzarella, rainbow trout, and Germain chocolate cake to name a few.
The prices are considerably lower than Chittenden country.
The place was packed, but we had reservations. They have a bar you can eat at, or have a drink while you wait.
I will be going back!
