If you're like us, you're constantly searching for those out-of-the way little gems. The Hartland Diner is one of those. Kim serves up a delectable home cooked, lunch and breakfast menu with lots of healthy choices--along with burgers--and a to-die-for selection of pies, most all of which is locally sourced.

I have eaten at the Hartland Diner many times but just took my mother for breakfast the other day. The pancakes were delicious, I so appreciate the fact that real Vermont maple syrup is served with them at no additional cost. The quality of all the ingredients is top notch and primarily locally sourced. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer. I too was a fan of Stella's but I do not understand why other posters want to compare the two. Stella's was not really a diner and the new owner has a different vision. As another reviewer mentioned Stacy and John are following their dream and opening a restaurant/bar in Windsor. All good for the food lovers in the Upper Valley. World Diner Domination!

My wife and I travel to South Woodstock several times a year and have been doing so for years. One of the great pleasures of recent years was stopping off on the way in Hartland at Stella'a for lunch, or if we were lucky, breakfast. It had always been a gem to find such a place with people who loved the art of diner food but what it has since become is a joke. The new owner has not come close to the same care and quality of food service. It is now a place of egos and loud talking and local gossip which masquarades as a Diner. But diner food it is not...it is white bread and potato chips instead of choices and interesting sides. They boast a World Diner Domination...not quite sure what that means but it has nothing to do with good food and engaging service so please do not waste your time or money here.

Omlets are great and the owner/waitresses are friendly. A real diner feeling with folks swapping stories and gossip. Had the humus wrap for lunch- wonderful and more than enough.

The great atmosphere, the super friendly and efficient waitresses, and the local ambiance are only the beginning of a great review for this wonderful little restaurant-the eclectic menu, the amazing food, and incredible pies are certainly the topping! Have been here twice and each experience positive in all respects. The prices are right and the pie a delight!
