“Wine & Cheese Tasting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

We stooped by on the way to their vineyard to find out nothing going on at the vineyard.

Jean was great. Love the building and the antique setting inclusive of ice box and cash register.

Great value for wine tasing, 9 wines for $5.00, and the complimentary cheese tasting was great.

Jean was knowledgable and provided great advise on what the cheeses would go with. We loved the Porter cheese. We left with 6 bottles if wine and 2 lbs of cheese for $163., a good value.

Cons, no wine club so we would have to drive 3 hours to get more, and would prefer the tasting be in a vineyard setting.

But we will be back!

“Great tasting and great prices!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2013

We are from CT and do the CT wine trail all the time so We stopped at honora on our way thru Vermont. Not really expecting anything great but had some extra time so we stopped. Boy were we surprised!! we did the tasting which was only $5 for5 wines and they were all very very good. One white wine and the rest all reds. They had a special $6 a bottle for the Syrah. Jean was our hostess and she was so awesome! knowledgable and friendly. The tasting came with the most tasty fresh cheeses that were trimmed right there off the wheel , We ended up purchasing 2 bottles and had a couple glasses of wine there.i would definitely recommend stopping here !! And look forward to going back the next time I'm in Vermont

“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2012

This was an amazing experience. We bought the picnic package from an online deal, and really got a great value. We received a tour of the vineyard, which was smallish, but still informative. The workers here love their jobs and love wine. We were greeted with crackers, cheese, fruit, and of course wine. We received a keepsake picnic basket that was state of the art and insulated, also a cooked meal and a bottle of wine. We got to choose wherever we wanted to eat and we chose a great spot on the grass by the fountain. We were also given a nice roll up blanket to sit on the we could keep. Awesome awesome time!

“Our Honora Wedding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2012

Our daughter and son in law were married at Honora two weeks ago. The views were spectacular, the atmosphere stellar, and the service was outstanding. Kudos to Lorraine the wedding coordinator. From our first encounter with her it was evident that she would provide excellent service. But we could never have imagined how exceptional she would make this day. Her presence was unobtrusive and yet every detail all day long was accomplished as promised, with excellence and on time. By the delicious snacks prepared in the sumptuous bride's room, the magnificent floral arrangements, and exquisite table and chair coverings we were dazzled. The coup de grace, however, was the floral bedecked arch under which the bride and groom were married with magnificent views of the hills behind. Lorraine and her staff are worth their weight in gold. Although she is only a little slip of a thing. So maybe double her weight in gold. Thanks Lorraine for making the day memorable.

“Exceptional Wine Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2012

We arrived a little early for our 1:30 wine picnic experience and walked the breathtaking grounds. The "backyard" is exhillarating with the stone walk and views. We were then treated to our hostess/wine expert Janice, who, while young, is already years above others who may have been at this longer but don't know nearly as much as she or may have the pallette. The information part was great but the picnic part was even better. The wine was superb. The food in our "basket" was prepared perfectly. Succulent moist chicken, fresh fruit, fingerling potatos, and sweet cookies for dessert. It came with our choice of wine (our choice was the Pinot Grigio). The owner, Patty and cook (sorry, I can't remember his name) came out to say hello and share the recipe for the sobe noodles. I would recommend a visit and a few bottles to go home! The whole visit was fantastic. I would recommend you go, but wear walking shoes to enjoy the grounds.
