My boyfriend and I stayed at Cold Moon Farm on a weekend ski trip. The owners are warm and lovely and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants to try during our stay. The house was cozy and the hot tub was a real treat. Breakfast every morning was homemade and delicious and the entire atmosphere made me feel like I was part of the family though it still felt like a romantic weekend getaway. We would definitely go back.

We stayed at Cold Moon Farm with our two boys in July of 2011. The Glazers were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. They showed the boys around the working farm and prepared the freshest breakfast one could ever hope for. The accomodations are superb and we only wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds and game room downstairs.

We stayed at Cold Moon Farm for 4 nights over presidents’ weekend with our two boys, ages 8 and 5. It was our first time at Cold Moon and we all had a fantastic time! The house was beautifully decorated and maintained. The rooms were spacious, very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Irene and Ed go out of their way to make sure their guests have a wonderful time. While we were there, we celebrated our youngest turning five and they let us bring in food for our traditional special birthday dinner and cake, use their kitchen and have a little party – Irene even baked one of her famous breads to go with our dinner!

The food was amazing: fresh chicken and duck eggs in the morning, sausage made from their own pigs, farm fresh goat’s milk, Irene’s fresh baked goods and homemade French toast. We bought eggs, homemade feta and goat meat to bring home and Irene even gave my husband a bread-making lesson!

While we were there, we skied, went tubing (Cold Moon is so close to Stratton) and, at Ed and Irene’s suggestion, we went to Harris Hill in Brattleboro to see the Olympic tryouts for Ski Jumping – it was awesome! Ed also works at Stratton guest services and arranged the reservations for us to go tubing, which was very convenient.

Cold Moon farm is an especially great place for kids - our children had a blast, playing ping-pong, pool and foosball, and learning about the animals with Dave. Oh and they have a hot tub too! They really made us feel like family and it was a truly special vacation. Thanks guys, we can’t wait to come back!

We returned to Cold Moon Farm since our last visit was so delightful. We were not disappointed. Since last year they have added several farm animals which were a joy to watch. The atmosphere was again warm and friendly and we were welcomed with open arms. This will not be our last visit here.

Brought my wife and 3 month old daughter here to Cold Moon Farm for a little "farmcation" and got exactly what we were looking for. Ed and Irene are fantastic people, very welcoming, accomodating and most of all fun! Same can be said for Dave, Georgia and Gideon. The whole Cold Moon family made us feel like we were extended family visiting for the weekend. Their home/B&B is perfect for guests, with tons to do: game room, exercise rooms, hot tub, beautful grounds with tons of cute farm animals. Irene, Dave and Gideon showed us all the animals, told us all about them, showed us how to milk the goats. Was a blast. Breakfast was amazing, TONS of amazing fresh food: fresh eggs from their farm (both duck and chicken eggs), really tasty sausage and bacon, this amazing blueberry french toast casserole thing, fruit, bagels, lox, amazing breads made by Irene. Our first night there we purchased one of Irene's boule's to go with some cheese we bought at a local farmstand. The still warm bread was just heavenly. Our room was very nice, had a queen bed and a private bath. They took care of everything we needed, Ed calling to make reservations for all our dinners. They had even set up a pack n play for our daughter before we had arrived. We went for leaf peeping seasong (wonder views from their deck), but they're also very close to Stratton Mountain if you're looking for skiing.

Another guest we met at breakfast said it well, this place is an experience. If you're looking for a place that's like every other hotel/motel out there and just want to get in and out, Cold Moon Farm probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a warm atmosphere and warmer people; or perhaps an educational farmcation; or to learn something about breadmaking or cheesemaking...this is the place for you.
