“Awesome Food - Weak Service”
Review of The Broken Yoke

This is our go-to breakfast spot: friendly people, cool spot & the food is always excellent. Homemade corned-beef hash, actual grits & killer house hot sauces. For food this good, I really don't mind waiting 25-35 minutes on busy days, but please don't bring fresh hot plates of deliciousness & then make us sit & stare at it for another 5 minutes while silverware & napkins are brought and the food gets cold. A minor annoyance, really, but after sitting that long trying to contain a young'un not to mention a deep and merciless hunger, it can become truly frustrating - especially when an order needs to go back to attain the requested doneness. Lastly, don't let my whining dissuade you from giving this place a shot - no matter what happens, you'll rave about the food....

Return visit for us. We had the nutty caramel pecan French toast. It arrived in about 25 minutes with a very artsy presentation. People who love sweets would love this, but it was way too sweet for us. If you’re not into sugar overload try the omelettes, which are phenomenal.

This us an interesting restaurant located at the Smugglers Notch Inn. My omelet was large with breakfast potatoes and an English muffin. My husband had an Irish Benedict with potatoes. A plus for me is they use "real" potatoes instead of precut ones that every one of them is alike. Give them a try, we will go back.

Yummy breakfast and lunch offerings! Would definitely recommend their breakfast sandwich and fresh orange juice.

While there was a bit of a wait for this city girl, the food was beyond a 10! Delicious omlet with fresh veggies was cooked to perfection and complimented with homemade corned beef hash. My guy had egg sandwiches on grilled crossaint and ended up bringing home for breakfast the next day.
