We ate at the adjoining restaurant for lunch. Very nice stout-like beer! We had the Vegetable Panini. The bread was grilled just right covering sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, and goat cheese.

Our first time at Caroline's was last night. VERY pleasantly surprised. Both dinners were excellent, and a bargain compared to most other local places with similar higher-end cuisine. Beef tenderloin ($24) was superb, and a very large portion (would guess at least 8 oz. Local perch ($22) was outstanding as well. Excellent fillet, wrapped in prosciutto, with a great mix of veggies, incl. local fiddlehead ferns, asparagus, squash, plus great mashed potatoes. The pea/mint/cream soup was super as well - and a large bowl for $6.

Excellent service too - easily on par with Trattoria, L'Amante, and the other higher-end places nearby. This will be on our A list from now on.

Well sourced, well prepared local food. Seasonable menu. Lovely service and ambiance. While not cheap, fairly priced (multiple course meal around $50 per person). Worth the trip.

We dined at Caroline's on Feb 25/2012 and were very disappointed . How can a restaurant run out of all fish and meat dishes from its standard menu on a Saturday night? There were no specials nor any fish or meat dish (except for a very rich beef Wellington) So we had to settle for vegetarian dishes and a dried out ( last portion ) of ravioli which was inedible ! I ordered a "classic " Caesar salad which in no ways resembled a Caesar salad; it was a mound of shredded lettuce drenched in some creamy dressing with cherry tomatoes on the side of the plate. This was also inedible and I think the chef should review the recipe for a Caesar salad!
All in all , a terrible dining experience .

While Jericho, VT is a little off the beaten path from most establishments in Vermont--- Caroline's is worth the trip. The evolving menu provides a variety for everyone.
Chef Joseph is a great guy, and knows how to provide great combinations of food which are pleasing, filling, and great to look at.
The duck confit is incredible.
The wine list is well-selected, and priced.
Every thing we tried on the menu was incredible. Not a single person in our 6 person party was disappointed.
