Hotel is old and worn out, built in the 1970's, rooms need painting.

Walls are very thin can hear noise from other rooms and hallways.

Our room was on a hallway to the bar and at 3 am the crowd spilled out into that hall, very noisy. Required multiple calls to front desk before call were answered.

Housekeepers failed to clean room, front desk only offered to give us new towels.

Stayed: December 2006

I have not found a better place to stay in Killington, as close to the mountain, for the price. Swimming outside when it is 0 dgrees and snowing has to be experienced. Rooms could be a little nicer, but for the money..... They also sometimes have great internet specials. Check the web site. I got one two years ago that was 10% off for every night you stayed. I stayed for 5 nights and got 50% off. Hard to beat

Cozy, relaxed and casual, yet the staff stops at nothing to be hepful and friendly. We went there 2 years ago and had the best time, made the mistake of going somewhere else the following year. (bad, bad idea) We're going back to the North Star. It's the best in terms of family set up, makes for a relaxed vacation.

Stayed at The North Star Lodge for 4 days over New Year's Eve with my family of 4. The room was clean and functional and the bedding was one of the best that I have slept in at a hotel. The heated pool was great and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed the New Year's Eve party which was a nice touch. The only negative was the so-so breakfast and the room was a bit hot even with the heat turned off. I would definitely stay here again.
