We traded our RCI week to stay at this resort. Even though we do not ski and it was in the middle of July, we found plenty of things to do. Killington is so beautiful. The grounds, pool, hot tub were very clean. Our one bedroom unit had a awesome view of the ski slope and was cleaned daily. Kudos for the huge bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed at this resort during the summer, to compete in a local half marathon. The resort was lovely and had many amenities, including a spa, a gym, a restaurant, an outdoor pool and a gift shop where they also sold coffee and light food. There was a banquet hall for large events, and there was a golf course across the street. The resort was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. My room was a "studio," and included a couch, a comfortable arm chair, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette (oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, utensils, dishes, a small table on which to eat, and supplies for cleaning the dishes). I was surprised to find that my bed was a "Murphy" bed, which I had to pull out from the wall, but the mattress was firm and I had a good night's sleep. My room overlooked the mountains and a (manmade?) pond. A ski lift from the Killington ski center was within walking distance from the hotel. One drawback was that, since I did not use the resort's valet parking service, and the main parking lot was full when I arrived in the evening, I had to park in the "overflow" parking lot, which was poorly lit and a slight walk from the entrance of the resort.
Overall, however, if one is interested in staying at a deluxe slope-side resort, the Killington Grant Resort Hotel would probably be a good choice.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the mountains have a spectacular view.

Even though it's a ski resort, there were things to do in the summer. Took several side trips within a 2 hr drive. Balloon Festival in Stowe, covered bridges, Shelburne museum. The resort was very nice and comfy. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Nice heated pool and hot tubs.Resort was well maintained.

Room Tip: ask for room facing the slopes and not the parking lot

We had a fantastic, relaxing week at the Killington Grand. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because we stayed during their off season, the hotel was very quiet, which we loved. The view from our room was amazing, the room was very clean and comfortable. The pool is fantastic, our kids just loved it. We hiked up to Killington Peak which was a bit strenuous, but so worth it. The staff at the hiking/mountain bike center were super friendly and gave us great advice for our hike. The resort's restaurant, Ovations, was pretty good. The food was a bit expensive but delicious. The service was spotty, but the convenience of having a place to get a decent meal on site made up for it. Off site, I'd suggest McGrath's pub at The Inn at Long Trail, The Foundry ($$), and, for an easy, kid-friendly meal, you can't beat iPie Pizza. The Killington Market down the road was great for essentials and has awesome sandwiches as well as a nice wine selection. It was on the expensive side, but it beat driving to Rutland for a supermarket. We took day trips to Manchester and Queechee Gorge and visited the Calvin Coolidge Historical site which were all within an hour's drive of Killington. We love Vermont and would love to stay here again!

Finding the hotel was a bit tricky as the whole mountain is the resort. I missed the turnoff first time. When you see the first sign, turn left and keep going until you think you've gone too far, then turn right into the portico of the hotel.

I was given a room on the third floor with a kitchen - I went shopping in the little village and made myself dinner for the first time in many months on the road - spacious living room and balcony with a view over the tennis courts and mountains in the distance.

The room had iPod docks & TVs in the living room and bedroom, a Keurig coffee machine, free WIFI and parking, but not breakfast, but hey, I had my own kitchen.

The bed, pillows and shower were all fine. The towels and toiletries were excellent.

The chalet style lobby had free hot apple cider and a real alpine ambiance. I'd like to come back in season and really enjoy all that's on offer.

It was freezing but too early for snow, even though the Beast was wearing his white hat. It was very quiet and cold in early November.

I recommend this hotel.

We went for a 2 day getaway with our 2 teenage boys. Location is beautiful . The room was huge!! Living room and kitchen upstairs . 21 steps down were the 2 bedrooms. One king and the other had 2 queens. Great mattresses. Robes for 4 was a treat. Clean rooms. Kitchen, nice bathrooms. Steps were a good workout. Nice having a full kitchen. Pool and gym were great. Prices in area for food are high. A lot of restaurants are not open in the summer. Golf course is tough. Husband and son lost 15 golf balls. Walk up mountain was well worth climb. Views from Peak lodge are wonderful!! Hike C on trail was listed as easy, seemed more moderate.
My only complaint was that the game room quarter machine was broken and office only had a few dollars so we could do laundry. Pretty long ride to get quarters. We just played ping pong instead. Over all it was great!!!

We stayed in the Grand in mid June, just before their summer season which probably goes some way to explaining the peace and relaxation bit - on occasions we felt that we were the only guests in the hotel.
The hotel is a good quality 4 star in my opinion. The rooms, we had a one bedroom suite, are large, have decent cooking facilities and seem very well equipped and maintained. Our stay was an RCI exchange week and we were surprised at the level of room service we received (Daily). Facilities in the hotel, particularly the pool are also excellent.
There is beautiful scenery just out of the window and plenty to do within an hours drive from Killington. (The furthest we travelled was to Fort Ticonderoga - something we'd recommend). The driving is not a problem and the scenery is usually stunning
In its welcome pack the hotel says it will be disappointed if it does not exceed your expectations - well it exceeded ours.
