This hotel is a little older but very charming. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe King room with a wonderful fireplace. The room was spotless, the view fabulous and the location very convenient. The continental breakfast was perfect to get us going in the morning but allowed us to get out quickly to the slopes. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we come to this area.

Room Tip: Third floor even # rooms have fabulous view and balcony.

We appreciated this hotel's great location, five minutes from Killington resort and good value. We were able to get a good deal for our mid-March visit. The buffet was skimpy but there was fresh fruit and made to order waffles which was fine for us. We were picked up at the back door each day by 'The Bus' shuttle to and from the base of Killington's Rams Head lodge. We also enjoyed the 98 degree pool after skiing each day. Our room came with a fireplace but had a loud vent fan in the bathroom. The furniture and facilities are basic but everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I would go back for the right price.

For $200 a night, buffet breakfast was served on paper plates, plastic silverware and styrafoam cups for coffee. The buffet table was not moniter for cleanliness and it was a filthy mess of spilled food. Breakfast tables were not wiped clean after each group of people left. I had to find napkins and try to wipe it clean myself because there was no staff. When the fruit bowl was empty, that was it, it was not replenished. The eggs looked like they were pre packaged and defrosted. And you would think that in Vermont ,Vermont Maple syrup would be served not smuckers in mini single serve container. Diner, we waited 1 hour for our meal. There is a bar, but there is no lounge area at all. There is one wooden bench in the tiny lobby to sit or else its your room. There was no comfortable sitting area or fireplace if you were a non skier waiting for your friends to return from their day.We will never stay here again

Room Tip: Stay some where else try the Summit Lodge

Recently stayed four nights here to ski at Killington. While the place shows its age, it is close to the ski hill and the rooms were clean and adequate (I especially appreciate a fridge in hotel rooms). The real prize is the friendly staff, from reception to the breakfast buffet to the bar. Always informative, ready to help, and interested in their guests.

My son and I stayed at the Mountain Inn for four nights over the Presidents' Day weekend. We picked the hotel because of price, proximity to the Snowshed lift, the breakfast inclusion, the heated outdoor pool and that the hotel arranged for our three-day lift tickets. The price was good. The front door was just a ten-minute walk to the lift. We were able to go to the Killington Grand across the street to pick up our lift tickets for Friday-Sunday on the Thursday night. The pool was warm and pretty large. The breakfast was...did I mention how close the hotel wasd to the Snowshed lift?
The decor is very dated but who cares? The rooms are not sound-proofed so you hear most conversations in the hallway. The management was extremely friendly and tried to improve the breakfast experience. The fresh waffle was a nice touch.

Room Tip: I had a room facing the back as I neglected to ask for a mountain view. Apparently, those rooms had...

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel. It is clean, convenient, and very reasonably priced. Even for a holiday weekend we were very pleased with the rate. The hotel offers a continental breakfast included in your room, as well as a ski shuttle and a room with ski locks for your equipment. Balcony rooms have a nice view of the mountain. There are no elevators, but it is only three stories high and the stairs are not full flights. The owners/managers were so friendly and really worked hard to make sure you had everything you need.

One thing....do not hold the Santa Fe Steakhouse against the hotel. The restaurant is horrible for dinner, however it is managed by another company. I would like to see the same management at the restaurant.

We had a great time at The Mountain Inn. Grant you the room was very small, but it was in the perfect location close to the mountain. It could use some updating, but all in all the room was clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast wasn't great, but it was a quick grab before heading to the slopes. I would recommend staying here for a short trip to Killington at an affordable rate.
