Description: Climb aboard Casey's Caboose and step back in time to a bygone era when the iron horse and the train was the lifeblood of the nation. This imaginative restaurant, opened in 1981, is housed in a 35 ton circa 1900 railroad snowplow car that for years kept the snow-drifted tracks of New England clear and safe until is was sidelined by a derailment. Casey's Caboose takes it's name and cue from the Cannonball Express run by that famous engineer Casey Jones, whose locomotive was barreling down the tracks in 1900 when a stalled freight train came into view. "JUMP! JUMP! " Casey ordered his crew, though he remained at the controls in an attempt to avoid disaster. Casey Jones met his own demise that day, but his legend lives on in our remarkable eatery. This is a restaurant the whole family will find fun because every bit of it is unexpected. You can dine in a raised observation deck where the engineer directed the train as it plowed the tracks or ask to be seated by the long bank of windows..

very cool place and have some seats that are two tiered and allow you to see outside from the caboose. The food was very good I shared a Burger with a friend and had more than enough food. fries were fantastic and so were the onion rings. This place was recommended for burgers.

Where looking forward to eat here but where very disappointed with the food and would never go back
My wife order a burger well done and it out rare sent it back. Then it came back char broil to a crisp.
After see my wife didn't eat it they didn't even off something else or ask what was wrong. We own a restaurant in a resort and would have try to make it right.
Also it was very over price hamburger. They where very tasteless.

We loved the atmosphere here, as we were seated in the actual caboose area for dinner. this past Saturday. The dining is casual and reasonably priced for a tourist area. We loved all of our food (mac n cheese, caesar salad was delicious, bacon cheese burgers, and portablello and bacon burger). They had a great selection of beers to choose from as well. Our service was super friendly, and the three of us were seated as soon as the hostess met us at 6:30pm on a Saturday night.

If you are a party of two and the tables are available, it could be fun to sit in their caboose seating for two seats. You get to climb a little ladder to get into your booth at the back of the caboose. Fun for families or couples. There was a small bar crowd as well that looked to be enjoying themselves.

Casey's food, service and decor is terrific! They kept the classic features from the original with great updates. The staff is warm and friendly and the food is spot on. From steaks to mac and cheese, and their wings are SUPER juicy and tender.
