“A taste of Germany in Autumn”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

Swiss Inn was amazing! The service was great. I could not decide between getting the butternut squash and apple soup and the Boston salad with Roquefort and candied pecans for an app. So she suggested a cup of soup and half order of the salad. I ended up splitting the salad with my husband since he wanted it too! Soup was amazing and so was the salad. And the quick bread that came with the meal in the bread basket was amazing too!! They even printed out the recipe for me!! Entree was trout with spetzel and green beans and dessert was an awesome pumpkin creme brulee! So very yummy!!!!

“Still going strong...”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

We had stayed at the Swiss Inn quite a few years ago, with enjoyable results, and then returned for dinners a couple of times since. So we knew pretty much what to expect when we stopped in this time, and the Inn did not disappoint. It's hausgemacht cuisine in the Swiss and German tradition, very nicely turned out and served in various portion sizes you can choose among. We had wienerschnitzel and potato pancakes -- both delicious -- although because it was a warm evening we passed on the raclette we have enjoyed in the past. Wines were reasonably priced, and service was prompt and very friendly. The welcome and hospitality were terrific -- affable chats with the owner and people at other tables about everything under the sun. As other reviewers have noted, for those of us who enjoy watching birds--as we do--a table by the back windows is a must, as an array of bird feeders attract all sorts of flying critters. We had hummingbirds by our window during most of the evening.

In all it was a tasty, relaxing experience that was easy on the budget. We hope to be back --

“Fun and good food”
Reviewed 3 July 2013

While not necessarily the best meal I've ever had, it was fun, as fondue always is, and they did a pretty good job with it. It's a bit pricy, but that is the nature of fondue. Would I go back? Sure.

“ewwwww”

I was sorry I walked in the door. It isn't a restaurant so much as a cafeteria. Keep your desires because they will not be fulfilled here.

“Worth a try”
Reviewed 29 October 2012

Basic country decor for this dinning room, no fuss but no character either. What was really pleasant was the view of the back garden with birdfeeders and plenty of birds both during dinner and breakfast. It is a birdwatcher paradise.

As we were staying at the inn overnight, we had dinner and breakfast there. The service was really friendly and attentive and the young lady, alone for the service, was efficient.
The Wiener Schnitzels were offered in small and regular portions. We ordered the regular portion which was really generous, the Schnitzel crisp, hot and excellent served with rösti potatoes. Overall a very good dish.

Breakfast was homey and copious.

What was nice on top was to have a good restaurant with the inn as it suited us not to have to drive after the long day on the road.
