“Good, low key dinner”
Reviewed 24 February 2013

Yummy and low key. Just what we needed after a busy day on the slopes of Okemo! We had delicious salads and the teriyaki garlic wings were super delish! Thank you!

“Great bar!”
Reviewed 3 February 2013

Good place grab a burger and a beer after hitting the slopes. The burger was great, there is good beer on tap, and the bartender is a riot!

“Over-Abundant Lunch”
Reviewed 12 January 2013

If you're presently dieting, this is not the restaurant to go to for lunch - not because the food isn't good, but the portion size at lunch exceeds what you normally see for dinner at other establishments.

I went to Jake's on a cold winter day with a group of professional associates for an informal luncheon meeting. With 6 present, ended up with 3 basic dishes.

3 of us had variations on a winter comfort food - macaroni and cheese. Jake's makes their mac and cheese with penne pasta and 2 different cheeses, one of which comes from the newly reopened Plymouth Cheese Factory at the Coolidge Homestead. You can get it plain, with ham, a vegetarian mix with spinach and tomatoes [my choice], or several other variations. The meal is accompanied by a warm, buttery grilled focaccia. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and had the flavor of being made with a good ale. Top it off with a crunchy crust, and you have good warming comfort food.

2 had the Tavern's version of a Philly cheese steak: shaved rib eye, American and local Vermont cheddar cheeses, peppers, onions, and mushrooms, served on a long roll. The sandwiches looked very full, and the ones who ordered them said they were very satisfied with their meal. The last had a standard rueben, which came out on with a large portion of corned beef and was grilled to the golden crunchy stage.

The Tavern also has 3 soups available as regular menu items, including a lobster bisque which was very tasty.

There are a range of soft beverages available, as well as alcoholic drinks. The waitstaff made sure that the soft drinks were kept full throughout the meal.

Considering the location, and proximity to Stratton, Bromley, and Magic Mountain ski areas, prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the amount of food which was served in each meal.

“Good thing there are only two restaurants in Londonderry”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

The food was average at best. My fish and chips was as good as Captain Ds. My wife's vegetable of the day, corn, was inedible, and the steak was poor. Service was slow.

My friends and I came here to watch the Monday night football game and thought this bar was great. Awesome food and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend trying the pizza.
