I am a youth leader at a church in CT and we have brought our youth group kids here at least once a year for a ski trip since 2007. Bill and Ruth are incredibly accommodating, very patient with large groups of middle and high school kids...and they cook the best meals! We have never been dissatisfied with our stay, and strongly recommend this place for both small and large groups. We always feel like we're coming to someone's home rather than a hotel or inn. Very warm and inviting. We will certainly be back again next year! Thank you Ruth and Bill!

Nothing is better than returning from a tiring day of skiiing on the ice, I mean snow, and coming "home" to a warm fire and savory aromas emanating from the kitchen. There's just enough time to have a nice glass of wine with some cheese and conversation before Ruth rings the dinner bell at 7:00 PM. Ahhhh!

We've come here with family and friends for 10 years and have never been disappointed. Colmbes Family Inn is the best place to stay in Ludlow!

It's BYO. There's a refrigerator for guest's use in the living room. Fixings for hot chocolate and tea are always available in the dining room and there's a closet full of board games for the little ones.

The food is great! I love this place.

A group of 8 of us have been coming to the Combes Family Inn for about 6 years. We had previously lodged at another nearby inn for 15 years until a contract with a bike tour company took precedence and we lost our happy home. The Combes Family Inn welcomed our group with open arms. We alway come on Columbus day weekend and have totally enjoyed our experience here. Ruth & Bill are great hosts and the hospitality is first rate. This is an inn where you feel that you are coming home for a get together in contrast to an inn with a lot of pomp & circumstance. The meals are delicious and are truly examples of great home cooking. There are 10 rooms available with 5 five rooms in the main inn and 5 rooms inn a motel style outbuilding. The 5 rooms in the outbuilding are pet friendly and easier no stair access. The The location is great with easy access to Rt. 100 and Rt. 4. We are looking forward to returning next year.

We have stayed at the Combes Family Inn many, many times during ski season when our children were small. We have gone as a couple, or just with our son, or with 2 other families. This year we stayed there as a 4 family group over the July 4th weekend - and as usual everything about the experience and area was wonderful. When you go with a group it's like having all your friends and family to your home, but you don't have to cook, clean or do laundry! What could be better. The inn is spacious, so people can be in the large TV living room, watching movies or visiting, or in the quieter large living room for a chat or to read or play games. They have a full closet of games, and tons of movies, magazines, books, etc. The breakfasts are wonderful, and they always have coffee, tea or hot chocolate available. Dinners, which are extra, but so reasonable, and so worth it, are like your favorite home cooked meals. What is better than to come home tired after skiing or sightseeing, and not have to go back out to eat. Especially when you are a large group. Plus there is a fridge for guests to bring cheese, wine, spirits, etc. So before Ruth rings the 7pm bell for dinner, we all assemble in the living room for wine & cheese. It's the most relaxing place ever, and the surrounding park/lake is beautiful in summer, and Okemo Mt. is a great place to ski in winter. Can't say enough about the Combes Family Inn. We have been going there for over 15years. The kids loved it when they were small, and now as young adults they like coming back with us again for those great reunions. Oh, another thing - the Inn is impeccably clean - every nook and cranny.

We have just returned from a family reunion week at the Combes Family Inn and loved it! This inn is a perfect site for a family reunion at a reasonable price. There are 2 living rooms, so guests can spread out and get away from TV viewers. The rooms are small but comfortable, each with a private bathroom. The food was not gourmet cooking but very good. Ruth and Bill Combes prepared 3 courses, tasty dishes, using fresh herbs, fruits and veggies. There's no pool on site, but guests can use the pool at the Echo Inn and there are beautiful lakes close by. Ruth provided excellent ideas and directions about sites to see in the area. She was also full of ideas for our rainy days including making use of the games and puzzles in their well stocked closet. The inn is located in a quiet area, a perfect vacation get-away. This was our 18th reunion. We always go to a different place, but are considering returning to Combes Family Inn. A real gem.

I was dissappointed with the welcome my husband and i received when we arrived , i was disappointed that Ruth and Bill were not that friendly . The breakfast was not at all that filling. Not once were we offered dinner. They had a big group coming in on saturday and had no interest in the guest that was staying with them at the time. I myself have never been to a bed and breafast so i was excited on staying here but i don'
t know if i would do other bed and breafast again . i can get the same welcoming at a hotel. Also, when we were checking out ruth informed my husband thta we would of got a 10 dollar discount if we would of just called the inn, instead of booking on line . She also , said she could of ajusted it but, that was to much work. well i will visit Ludlow VT, again but i won't stay at Coombes Family Inn..

thank you, p.comier

Stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owners know what hospitality means and displayed it throughout our stay. Ruth, the innkeeper cooked a marvelous Thanksgiving dinner and her husband, Bill, did the honors for breakfast. Another good feature, it's a BYOB, so you can bring your own wine or other beverages.

Warmth and hospitality all around . . . beautiful farmhouse inn . . . off the beaten path and just idyllic
