“Little treasure spot for the family”

Plymouth State Park has a lot to offer. It is a little gem in Vermont not far from a favorite ski resort. The state park has a nice swimming area. You can put your blanket or chair on the sand weather you like to sun yourself or dig sand castles or relax on the grass. There are shady areas with tables, a few benches to look out over the beach and a playground for the kids.

You can launch your own boat if you want. Some people rent the kayaks or paddle boats to see a bit more of the lake. The kids like to fish from shore. You have a little food stand to get a snack. Of course, the bathrooms and changing areas are clean.

The only reason I did not give this an excellent rating is because there was no lifeguard.

“Everything you need for a day at the lake.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2012

This park has it all. A nice grassy area with picnic benches, grills, carts to haul your coolers, etc. Swings and play sets for the kids, a volleyball court, kayaks, pedal boats and canoes to rent, a sandy beach and good sized area designated for swimming. Concession stand with limited selection but sandwiches we bought were decent. Nice staff. No lifeguards on our visit.

“A great day”

Nice park, clean, relaxed. We rented kayaks and the lake was great. Park is large and the families were spred out - so it wasn't noisy and you weren't being over run. Concession food was not expensive and good. Will return next time in the area.
