My husband and I held our wedding at Echo Lake Inn in June 2009, and our guests are still talking about the great service, the wonderful staff, and delicious food. The Inn Keeper took care of every detail throughout our wedding weekend and everyone went out of their way to make each and every guest comfortable. Choosing Echo Lake as our wedding venue was a brilliant move!!!

My wife and I held our wedding reception at Echo Lake Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. The innkeeper was amazing, and the day couldn't have been more fun. The guests loved the food, and the service during their stay was top-notch.

My fiance and I were looking for a weekend getaway during the Vermont "shoulder season" after reviewing several options were decided on the Echo lake inn. We were not disapointed. The room was roomy bright, and clean. Even though the inn was not very busy during the off season the staff treated us like kings. They could not do enough to make sure that we had the best of times, including bringing us snacks to share with our wine on the "wonderful" front porch. The breakfast that was served in the morning was fantastic. Because we were there during the slow time, the Restaurant was not yeat open. The staff did recommend a wonderful option in town, we can't wait to travel back again when they are in full operation. I would reccommend Echo lake a wonderful romantic getaway.

Echo Lake is charming, clean, and comfortable. It's just a short drive from Okemo mountain which makes it ideal place to stay if you're a skier. The area around the Inn is beautiful for walking, even in the heart of winter. There's a pond and several brooks just across the road. The Inn's interiors are lovely but not over the top elegant. There's a large sitting room on the first floor, as well as a small bar. The restaurant is quite good for dinner, and the menu is surprisingly large. Chef Kevin does not disappoint with gourmet dishes and desserts. Checking in and out was fast and efficient. The only downfall: a large ski group was staying in the Inn and it was very, very noisy. I would definitely return to Echo Lake for a ski weekend or a summer getaway because it offers great value in the gorgeous green mountains.

A warm and friendly place to stay. Staff was excellent, friendly and enjoyable to chat with. While we were there during a slow time of year as the ski season was winding down, the staff certainly wasn't. Great breakfasts with the best eggs that we have ever had, will never go to the gorcery store again for eggs. Laurence was a charm. This was a gift to us from our daughter and son-in-law and what a great gift. Highly recommend staying at Echo Lake Inn.

The hotel and restaurant looks great from the outside but it is miserable from the inside. My main complaint is with the arrogant attitude of the management. This is reflective in the restaurant that pretends to be a cozy place with good food. The reality is that it severely overpriced with tiny portions that are reflective of the Okemo cafeteria. Our waitress was obnoxious, slow and they AUTOMATICALLY included a 18 gratutitt on our tab that was not indicted on the menu.

I NEVER write reviews - but was motivated by this overpriced and horrible place. Don't be fooled by the advertisements

My advice - don't be fooled by the outside - stay and dine ANYWHERE else.

Our restaurant, which has been featured in Gourmet and Bon Appetit, is well know for its quality of food and service. I don't think this review is fair or accurate for the food or the accommodations (guest rooms) being he didn't even stay with us and never saw a guest room.
