We had a family reunion here with a large group. Everything was excellent. Super breakfasts and very good meals. The owners went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed. Well decorated comfortable rooms in the hotel. We had an apartment with kitchen and fridge in an adjacent building. Good airconditioning. There's a tennis court, boats to use on the lake, a nice swimming pool, a hot tub and lots of walks in the area.

I can’t say enough great things about the Echo Lake Inn. We had our wedding there in July 2010, and from the beginning of the planning process to the post-wedding brunch, we could not have been happier with our choice. It was the perfect venue – everyone felt comfortable and at home the entire weekend. Laurence, the innkeeper, Ruxana, the wedding coordinator, and the rest of the staff, especially Anne Marie and Neil, did everything they could to take care of us and all of our guests. Multiple guests (all of whom have been to many weddings) told us that it was the best wedding they ever attended.

Once we made our decision, Ruxana and Laurence were very responsive and they were there to help us every step of the way. They made great recommendations for other vendors, like photographers, cake, and JP, and helped us plan every detail of our whole weekend. They took all of the stress out of planning a wedding.

When it came to the wedding, we had the best weekend of our entire lives. Our wedding started with a welcome barbecue on Friday night for all of the guests who were in town. Everyone had a wonderful time in a warm and inviting atmosphere, and it gave the guests a chance to get to know each other before the wedding itself. The wedding started at 4 o’clock on Saturday, so our guests were able to take advantage of the activities the Inn provides during the day. Some chose to lay out by the pool, some played tennis, some went out on the lake in the rowboats and canoes, and some explored the area. Because the inn gives weddings exclusive use for the weekend, everyone at the inn was part of our wedding. That makes the inn a comfortable and safe place for everyone, especially if there are children at the wedding, because parents can feel comfortable knowing that their children are safe.

The wedding itself was perfect. It was elegant but relaxed. Laurence and the staff took care of everything. We were able to spend the entire wedding and reception just enjoying ourselves. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing and we felt completely confident that if anything needed to be done, the staff would take care of it. The food was phenomenal – everyone was raving about how delicious the food was. The food at brunch the next morning was no different – it was delicious, and it was wonderful to have a chance to spend more time with our guests before everyone left on Sunday.

We have no regrets whatsoever from our wedding. We would strongly recommend the Echo Lake Inn for people looking to get married, for a family reunion, or just for a weekend away any time of the year.

We found the Inn after a lengthy selection process for a place to hold a family reunion. If one were to sit down and try to design on paper the perfect venue for such an event, the Inn would come about as close as reasonably possible in the real world - beautiful natural location with mountains, lakes, fishing, canoeing, boating, beach and swimming (at nearby Plymouth State Park on Echo Lake), etc. 5 minutes from Ludlow, VT, at the base of Okemo mountain; friendly, committed staff, especially the owner/operator himself who has an impeccable professional pedigree, having been an executive at a a major upscale hotel company; amazing number and variety of rooms in the Inn itself, but also including a unique on-site complex of apartments with full kitchen and all of the modern amenities once could ask for; excellent on-site facilities, including tennis, swimming pool, rec room, great room, jacuzzi, etc.; ; world class dining, thanks to long-time chef Kevin's wonderful kitchen; full breakfast in the classic American style. My only constructive advice - an espresso machine for coffee to match the food would be a worthwhile investment!

Everybody from the innkeeper to the chef and all the personnel were friendly and attentive. The food, from breakfast to the unbelievable dinners, are absolutely fantastic. This was my first experience at a B&B and I would highly reccomend it to any one. We had the ski and stay package and skied at Okemo Mt. If you are planning any trips to Vemont area around Ludlow do not pass up the opportunity to stay here.
