We stayed here on our three week trip around New England. We were greeted with helpful staff as soon as we arrived at the hotel. Our room was great, large well furnished and very impressive bathroom. The facilities in the hotel were all of a very good standard.
The location of the hotel was good it enabled us good access to Manchester and the shopping!
The staff went that extra mile and made our stay very special.

Amazing how they retrofitted a new hotel into a very old building, but they have. It's beautiful and what remains of the 19th century -- some low ceilings, slightly out of plumb window and door frames, squeaking floor boards in the hall, etc., are charming in the overall luxurious context. Room was large with high ceiling, though narrow, and very comfortable. The deck outside the Falcon Bar with a big gas fire pit was perfect on a summer night. Easy walking into the town and great hikes up the mountain; very short walk to the golf course. Mostly, though, the staff was great. Special shout outs to Tracey, the hardest working bar waitress in VT, Dan in housekeeping, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and Brian at the front desk.

Room Tip: We were in 200, pretty much over the front door. Quiet even though on the street.

We spent the weekend at the Equinox to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! The size of our room was impressive, though some of the furnishings looked a little tired, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, though a bit pricey. The spa was fantastic- I had a Swedish massage with Richard and it was worth the splurge. The weekend left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

Room Tip: Rooms in the inns seem quieter and more quaint.

We recently stayed at the inn located on the Equinox property to celebrate our son's 2nd birthday

Key takeaways:
* Nice for kids (indoor pool, playground, nearby attractions = feeding fish, book store and farm)
* The inn can fit a small family comfortably and there is a kitchen in the room
* We thought it would also be an excellent property for a couple getaway or for a friend reunion
* Beautiful spa and nice tennis courts. We did not play golf, but looked challenging
* If we had more time (and a babysitter) would have loved to try Land Rover challenge, falconry and clay pigeon shooting

Room Tip: Several events take place on the property around multiple seasons so inquire before

we had a wonderful weekend at our favorite place to stay in Vermont. The last time we came it was in the winter so the look and feel of the resort was totally different. We had a few hiccups during our stay but the management was so good about fixing things right away that it made us like the place even more!

For folks looking for a challenge - hike up Mt Equinox, it's a tough. Be sure to save a full afternoon for it. Also ask for Brian at the front desk. He was so helpful! We'd come back just for his service.

Room Tip: stay in the main building if you want to be closer to the amenities

For several years we had been wanting to stay at the Equinox for a VT summer/fall getaway, so were pleased when a conference for my husband was scheduled there. We had expected a great 5 star hotel and some aspects of the property met those expectations - the staff was welcoming and helpful, and the grounds were well-kept and beautiful. However we found our room and the hotel upkeep to be lacking. We asked for a room near an elevator due to an injured knee - what we got was a room absolutely far as possible from the front desk (although after we walked all that way the room was near the elevator.) The room we were assigned was THE smallest room in the hotel based on the diagram we were given - it looks like it was created out of a broom closet or vending area. The floor was so uneven that it was truly dangerous - changes of level from the bed to the bathroom to the door. We had the pleasure of viewing (and hearing) the driveway with trucks coming and going to make deliveries all day long. The bathroom was so dark it wasn't possible to even see to put in my contacts. No closet in the room, only an armoire with a door that opened to block ⅓ of the room. The bed was so soft that my husband had to revert to sleeping on the floor to save his back. Everywhere we looked, we saw areas that obviously had not had attention in years - peeling paint, wobbling bannisters, etc. There wasn't another room we could get, based on our "meeting" rate. At least the weather was good. We travel extensively, always stay at 5 or 4 star properties, and can assure other travelers that the Equinox does NOT meet that standard.

Room Tip: Try one of the other inns in the area. The shopping is very good and the town is beautiful.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review regarding your most recent stay. I am troubled to hear that our resort did not meet your expectations and that you experienced various issues with the location of your guest room, and the size and noise that you encountered in it. Our intention was truly not to inconvenience you in any way. We welcome guests to our resort and hope to offer them a memorable and exceptional experience from start to finish, regardless of rate. I am truly sorry that we were not able to do that for you. Although your guest room did not meet all of your needs, I am glad to hear that our staff was welcoming and accommodating to you and that you were able to enjoy the beauty of our grounds and location. I will make sure to relay this review to our department leaders so that we can address the issues that you experienced and ensure that our future guests do not experience the same issues. I truly hope that we will have another opportunity to host you again to provide you with an experience that will surely create a more exceptional visit.

Warm Regards,

Had a wonderful stay and experience, from the front desk, bellmen, staff, all..... They were very attentive from the time I drove up until I went home. Very nice property with lots of options. Enjoyed the golf with the Association. I would stay at this property again. May even plan a trip during the fall and stay at the Equinox.

Room Tip: I would ask for the newer addition
