If you are looking for good food and good service at a reasonable price you can not go wrong.
We were a party of 8 with 3 children. We had no reservations. Within a short period of time we were seated. Everyone enjoyed the food and service was good.
Unless you are looking for an upscale restaurant you will not be able to beat the double hex

We stopped here on a recommendation from a local, as we were looking for good food, without going overly expensive, as we are more casual people. In addition, we saw that Saturday nights were prime rib nights, so we figured it was worth visiting for that. Upon arrival we were told there would be a 20 minute wait, which we were fine with, as they were busy, and it was right at dinnertime. They seated several people in front of us, that we were one of the few left waiting. I had noticed a table that was open most of the time we were sitting there and found it odd that they didn't seat anyone there. Well they did eventually seat us there, but about 10 minutes after it sat there empty. Okay, a little odd, but it was what it was. But after being seated, we sat there for 10 minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. At that point, she was less than friendly, not rude, but certainly not overly helpful or personable either. We ordered the prime rib, which came with a salad, bread, green beans and choice of side. I ordered mashed, my husband went with wild rice. We received the bread and salad in okay time, then did seem to wait a long while for the prime rib. The waitress eventually brought it out and as with the bringing of our other items, she rather unceremoniously plopped it on the table and walked away. At no point did she check on us throughout the meal. Once we were done eating, we waited another 15 minutes until she came to see if we wanted dessert and to give us the check. So the service overall was less than stellar. Just adding all the little things together, we were left very disappointed. That being said, the food was very good. The prime rib was nicely seasoned and a good portion, and the sides were tasty as well. Was the food so good we would drive out of our way for it and risk subpar service? Probably not. But perhaps we just caught them on an off day, that we probably would be willing to try again, as the food was good.

Don't miss the roast chicken with gravy and stuffing. If you like baked potatoes, they have great flavor here. Chicken Pot Pie was another winner. Even the mac and cheese was a success. Save room for dessert!

The staff were extremely nice. Very pricey considering the product. Quantity does make up for quality.

Went for a late lunch after skiing at Stratton. Wanted to fill up before getting on the road. The place was completely full with others waiting. The hostess said 10 min. and we were seated in about that time. The burgers and sandwiches are very big and filling. Potato chips are homemade as is the bread. I had the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich which was tasty and more than enough food. The interior is beautiful with wood beams and vaulted ceiling. The staff was all very friendly.
