“Great hiking in the Lye Brook Forest”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

This is a hidden wilderness gem in southern Vermont. There are several private "wild" lakes and lots of hiking. Or you can go to the Lye Brook falls that are majestic. Only a couple of miles.

“More difficult than we expected”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Lots of tree roots and rocks. It took us 2 hours in and up and we didn't have enough water. We managed to make it to the beautiful 800 Ft. waterfall at the end but it was a struggle.

“This place is awesome.”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

My girlfriend and I often go on hikes and wanted to try someplace new. There are two different trails to hike; a 2.5 mile hike, and a 7.1 mile hike. We opted for the shorter hike to see the base of the waterfall, and it was beautiful. We ended up eating a small lunch at the base of the waterfall, and took tons of photos. The actual hike is beautiful and invigorating. Lastly, it is quite the workout, and we will be definitely be going again with our dog she'd love it. If you enjoy hiking and scenery this is the place for you.

“beautiful falls”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This was a beautiful hike. It was very private and serene - only saw a couple other people at the beginning. It was rated easy so were surprised at how many streams we had to cross, how rocky the path was, and how much elevation gain there was (about 800 feet I think - a lot for Midwestern plains people like us). However, the falls were lovely and the trail itself gorgeous.
