“Been going there for years, but”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

We've been coming here for years and dealt with a few owners. Place is great and Location is perfect. Rooms are a little out dated but we spend most our time in the game room which is cozy and many things to do. Staff is great especially connie. although we are a little disappointed at the fact that they give you the worst room and even if the hotel is completely dead, they don't upgrade you like most hotels do. I specifically asked not to have the room next to the elevator bc you hear everything on the stairs but that's exactly where they put us. I would understand if hotel was busy but we were practically the only people there and for repeat customers, i would've thought they could be better accomodating. Previous owners would've given us the fireplace room if it was dead like that. Breakfast is the best part of this hotel . You must have the French toast. Would've like to see this place serve dinner bc breakfast is delish but do understand its not that cost effective for them.

Staff was excellent, especially Max and Connie. Breakfast was no ordinary hotel breakfast, French toast was to die for. So accommodating in every way. Hot tub was clean and felt awesome after a long day on the mountain. Great price, felt right at home.

Room Tip: Loved the fireplace. So peaceful to fall asleep to a fire.

Great staff, more than accommodating in every way. Nice to see people who truly like what they do and want everyone to be as happy as possible hotel facility is a bit dated but one doesn't even consider that when evakuating due to staff. Something as simple as the housekeeper noticed we had some beer wine and seltzer so they delivered a mini refrigerator and put all in it so it was cold when we got in from skiing.

Room Tip: The heat is very dry so leave a window slightly open.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. easy in and out with skiing gear. Close to Killington and next to Pico. Clean. Awesome downstairs Rec room. Games, hot tub, sauna, big screen tv. Patrick at the front desk was helpful suggesting places to go to. But Connie was our favorite. Happiest person we ever met. Really great Breakfast. Can't wait to go again. We will not stay any place else. Thank you Mendon Mountainview for a perfect New Years getaway...

Nice people. Great heated swimming pool in the summer. Beautiful view of Pico from the back deck. We enjoyed our summer vacation, and there is a lot nearby even though it was the off-season. Really good breakfasts too.

What a great place to stay for skiing at Killington or Pico. I stayed here mid week before Christmas so crowds were at a minimum. The location of Mendon Mountain View is perfect because its about half way between Killington and Rutland. I like this because after skiing, if you don't want to eat up on the access road, you can stop at your room coming off the mountain, shower or sit in the hot tub, then head into Rutland for dinner. The room I had was nice. It was clean, had a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. It also had a view out the back of the top of Pico. My stay included breakfast, which was an omelet made to order. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. After checking out and heading up to ski, they offered the hot tub and shower before my drive home. I'll stay here again in a heartbeat!

We were in Vermont for the Reebok Spartan World Championship race at Mt. Killington and decided that we didn't want to stay right in Killington and Mendon looked like the perfect place to stay. When we booked our room we told them we would be coming after their normal check-in times and they were very accommodating. The staff was extremely nice and helpful in ever aspect. They gave us great recommendations on running/hiking trails and places to eat. Saturday morning there was a huge breakfast buffet and the staff packed up a bunch of food for us to take. They also knew we were leaving after the race to head back to NJ and that we would be covered in mud. So they generously allowed us to access their showers in the sauna area, even though we had already checked out. The hotel wasn't the Ritz Carlton but the staff made the entire stay great!

Room Tip: If you need a fridge make sure you request one when booking.
