I went here with my family at the beginning of October, I was unsure at first, because it is a tavern atmosphere, However, there were several families & folks of all ages! They have a Restaurant & Bar. Dont' let the size of the meal bowls fool you, they are very unique too! The food here for all of us was Wonderful ; ) Our server was very nice helped with some of our decisions.
Overall, we all had a very nice time here. I would say if you are going to be in the Middlebury, Vt. area, this should be added to your dining list. We liked it sooo much that we will be there again soon! Hope this review helps. : )

This is a pub and small restaurant in one of the quaint brick buildings in Middlebury. We had a seat by the window and watched the rain spattering down while sipping locally made IPA. And the dinner was fitting with the weather. The "deconstructed caprese salad" was very, very good: a thick tomato slice in each corner topped with local mozzarella and pesto with a pile of arugula in the middle drizzled with a maple balsamic vinaigrette. This would have been a meal in itself. But, no, I had to order the "Lobster Mac & Cheese." Bring your cloresterol medicine because this is a heart attack in a bowl: fresh lobster mixed with cream, asiago, white cheddar, the pasta and a splash of the lobster juice. The only thing missing from it was bacon! Seriously, it was very, very good.

I saw some comments about the service but ours was just fine. Noise level was tolerable. All in all, a four star meal by my standards.

This is a nice place to have a beer and watch your favorite game. The decor is fun and really says "college town". The service is fine. The food is pretty much your average pub menu, though priced much too high. So if beer and sports are what you're looking for, look no further.
