“Comfortable”

Very comfortable for our stay. Bed's and linens were good. Pool and fitness center were a welcome plus. Staff was very friendly and personable, had lots of suggestions and information for us. Breakfast not included, but the they have a nice little bistro with Starbuck's coffee and a variety of breakfast options.

Courtyard Marriott in Middlebury was a great place to stay. We were there for a hockey camp at middlebury college and received a great rate. It has the modern amenities that you are used to with Marriott, but has the charm and quietness of an Inn you would find in Middlebury. Front Desk was very helpful, Bistro was convenient and decorated nicely. Loved that the rooms had windows that would open to allow in the fresh mountain air. Very quiet...the hotel was full and you would have never known it.

Sorry, Middlebury, you're not a city.

The Courtyard is the only chain in town and a good spot if sharing a bed at a B&B isn't an option. It's conveniently located, about a mile from downtown and two miles from Middlebury College so you'll need a car in either case. It's right across from a Hannaford's if you forget something -- may be needed as the front desk doesn't have a great stash of "oops I forgot my toothpaste supplies, however there's a small market within the hotel where you can purchase food items. Didn't use it so didn't take note of the price.

The Bistro is overpriced and half of the menu isn't available, but it's ok if you need a quick coffee and don't have time to stop in town -- otherwise there are much better locations in town for food.

This was a quick overnight, so we didn't use the fitness center or indoor pool, although both were open and looked nice. Room was comfortable and clean, service was good. No safes in the room, refrigerator available on request. I'd stay here again if travels took me through the area.

We were traveling without reservations during the summer season. Decided to go to Middlebury and searched on line for lal hotels or b&bs. Courtyard's have never been my favorite. Other than pricey b&bs there was no chain option but the Courtyard. The desk clerk gave us a tour of the new lobby including restaurant, bar and big screen touch info. Enter. They should have put the money into fixing the air conditioners. After several hours our rooms was still hot and after a shower, I felt like I needed another one.b the desk clerk said the air took a while because they had very small fans.... It never got cool. The soundproofing was so bad after the upstairs guests noisily banged arpund at 5 am and left they forgot to turn off their alarm which I then had to listen to for 15 minutes. The town is beautiful. Not enough hotel choices.

Room Tip: Find a nice B&b

I stayed at the Middlebury Courtyard Marriot, after a last minute change of plans which required me to be in Middlebury for a day longer than I planned.

The front desk clerk was helpful, polite and professional. The room and hotel was clean. The little bistro cafe was a convenient perk, a limited menu, but it enables customers to stay in if they choose. Location is convenient to everything in Middlebury, a quick drive to the College.

Check out was simple and easy.

We stayed at this Marriott as it was near a camp we were visiting. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast in the cafe each morning and the food was very good and came out very fast. Had a perfect dinner at nearby Fire and Ice. Can not wait to visit this area again and will stay at the Courtyard again.

we stopped here to rest after trying all the local mirco brews available. Switchback Ale is the golden nugget here. Love that beer, and love Vermont. Best food would be fire and ice restaurant, or Windjammers in near by Burlington.
