We've stayed at the Inn on the Green, maybe 8 or 10 times over the course of the last 10 years. Our reasons for being in Middlebury are on the wane and one of the things we will miss most, is this incredibly homey, pleasant B&B. We've been there often enough so that we'd started to think of the Bristol room as "our" room. Our last stay, an upper room in the annex, might have given us a new favorite...
The staff is pleasant, efficient and tend to be invisible except when you need them. The chocolates appear on the pillows, every night, put there by elves. The rooms are warm and full of personality but not odd or inconvenient. The morning pastries are from the Otter Creek bakery, across the way, pretty wonderful by any international standards. There are always cookies, coffee and possibly other snacks in the main house.
We'll miss you guys!
