“Excellent for lunch and..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

We ate here twice for lunch. The food is very wholesome and good, as it abounds with the best of Vermont produce - much or mostly organic. The small cafe in the co-op is quite small, adjoining the store, which is a great treat to explore. It's an eye-opening experience into a different world of organic foods taken to their highest level.
It's self service which is fine, but the real experience is wandering the aisles of the store and seeing how many kinds of fluor there are, etc. Don't try to find something by Nabisco or Nestle.
They don't exist. This is purity at its finest.

“I love the Coop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014

This is a great place to get local produce, products and bulk spices. The also have a deli that serves a nice variety of fresh made products. Their cheese section is really good, showcasing local made cheeses, a must have if you are having a party. Lots of fresh local breads.

“always a first choice for lunch in Middlebury”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

I love the meals at this co-op as they are all good - wholesome at a reasonable price whether just picking up to go and pre-made or ordering at the café. The fun part is that you can add a side of fresh organic fruit purchased from the store while you are there and you often meet the most interesting people for good conversation about what is going on in local VT food community.
